Not sure if this was an upgrade or not. I really liked my Emotiva Airmotiv 5 powered monitors but they sound quite different from how these are. None of the air and strong imaging that I was expecting based on those and the Stealth 8's I'd heard before. I'm thinking I should have just upgraded the crossovers in the 11TL's instead.

Wow that is one big center channel. Very nice set up, give your ears time to get used to the new sound! The top has a fan built in (under TT) to cool the AVR. The top just stays in place with weight.
