I'm picking this up tomorrow from Jay. I'm in Algonquin so no biggie for me either to hand off to Brock.

    Brock,
Better get your big boy pants on and figure out where we can meet in a week. I'm open to any day or time....but not rush hour please. Maybe we can meet up halfway or something.....unless Daboyz wants to brave the Rockford locals, which is akin to going to the zoo....with no fences. LOL Seriously.....Rockford drivers and Florida drivers are cut from the same cloth.

So In a week you mean next Thursday? Sure wish there wasn't such a stringent time line with this. Usually the title insurance business is slow this time of the year, but we are going balls out and haven't had a slow down so I am really busy at work.

To be honest about the only time I will have to listen is Sunday and Monday (ML King Day) since we are closed. But that's better than no time at all. Didn't anticipate being this busy. But, job security....lol.

    Who gets it next?

I'll be in touch Tony and Dave after I look at my calendar for next week. Any suggestions Tony? Really should be after work, but I might be able to squeeze in a late lunch on Friday. No use getting it earlier in the week since I will have zero time to listen until the weekend.

  • I can relate, I just got off of a shutdown at a large power plant where I averaged 60 to 70 hour per week. I have to make hay while the sun shines.I get where you are coming from.

Now if we told you it wouldn't be a secret. ;)

It's in my hands now. After we drank from the Holy Grail, recited a few biblical verses, Jay came up with a great idea. He stuck 10 bucks in the box. Thought at first it was to bribe me for not slashing his tires should he had worn skinny jeans.

Nope...being the thoughtful person he is, and since those of us who hand off save the coin from shipping, he thought a little contribution for those that have to pay, from those who don't, was in order. Fantastic idea....and I'll add to it before handing to Brock.....or spend it on a couple 5 dollar foot longs, haven't decided yet.

Agree - if there were 5 or 6 guys involved, we would be happy to give 2 weeks to each, and it would probably be a better overall process. In this case we have 13 participants, with others requesting to be included. One possibility, if somebody is strapped for time when their turn is approaching, let us know and we will circle the unit back to you at the end of the demo.

After talking with Andy, instead of me shipping it back to BL, he would like me to hand off to Brock so that he can review it before and after the fix. He's also a better candidate for this as he has more tubes than Carter had liver pills to roll in this pre.

So Brock, talk to me.....put your big boy pants on, it's coming your way.

Tony I sent you a PM, but honestly I wasn't expecting it until the end of next week after you had your time with it. Early part of the week is pretty busy w/work during the day and other commitments a couple evenings.

I had planned on getting it from you Friday. I was going to take a 1/2 day and meet for the hand off and a beer, etc. Even if I got it from you earlier in the week, the weekend (16th & 17th) and Monday (18th) are the main times I have for serious listening and evaluation.

If Andy needs it back to do some tweaks I can send it Tuesday the 19th.

I sent Andy a PM to see what he wants to do. Lets wait to hear from him. I know he wanted a before and after opinion with the fix they had in mind. If that means I have to hold on to it a bit longer.....certainly won't hear me complaining.

Careful Tony, it starts becoming like crack the more you listen to it.

Even with the noise, its a very musical preamp.
