F1.. really... I could care less about what you have to say! I've had these SDA 1C's since 1987 new.. I know what they sound like in different rooms, with different amps, and older Polk replacement parts that I know have worked. You don't like what I say... too bad. Try and get a life of the internet, and the Polk site

I would have to guess...you people just don't get it... a badly made driver will pop..no matter how many hours you break it in. Break-in time is NOT for a badly made speaker/ driver, it's for a good speaker to get better.

Do you even speak English? Literally, every one of your posts looks like it was originally Cyrillic and then sent through Google Translate.

And I guarantee you that several folks you have attempted to insult have forgotten more about your speakers than you have ever known.

And you keep reiterating that "the Polk techs said"...got news for you cupcake, most of the "Polk techs" you have talked to are nothing more than call center lackeys who are reading from a script and referencing a knowledge base of poor information. 90% of those people have probably never seen a pair of SDAs in person.

I have a suggestion for you...give us another riff Mcfly.

LMAO.. yeah I would guess you have nothing to say. that's useful. Now before I don't bother with this site.. you should know...
I have had the SDA 1C's since new in 1987. I know completely what they sound like, in different rooms, with different amps. They will play VERY loud.. just because you push them over the 12 position.. does NOT kill them at all.

How many of you people really have a set of SDA1C that you have had since NEW???
How many of you have replaced a driver or anything else??? I have.

I've had these speakers for 28 years.. different room, different amps, I have replaced MW6511 drivers that work perfectly, along with a X over that they would sell you back in the day. These speakers were built to play LOUD... and they do, and have done that for 28 years... till the one driver failed. The junk China junk I got.. was crap. NOW what there are sending me.. may be the same crap.. I don't know.

If these drivers work, are worth a crap... then I may buy 4 just to keep them. My guess.. may be not.

The sad part here... how many of you have had these speakers for 28 years.. your going to tell me what these speakers sound like?? or what I should do with them.

You don't buy the part I got crap drivers from Polk.. suck it up dude... there junk.. I can send you some if you would like to try them out...LMOA If your that stupid.. hell 40 bucks.. I will send these drivers all day long... LMAO

Pretty much the last statement I have to make on this.. what used to be a good site,

So true. I don't mind somebody being stubborn, but when so many words are misspelled then it becomes apparent the issue is more than being stubborn.

However, I am curious how the new drivers will work. LOL.

You are correct, it does not kill them all, but given the gear you insist on using it will kill some, and then others. I do not expect you to ever understand this, given the level of comprehension you have shown here... and before you say it's not your gear that is causing the grief, keep in mind that I can replicate a front-row seat at an AC/DC concert on my speakers at sustained insane volume levels and never have a problem.

    (comprehension (ˌkɒmprɪˈhɛnʃən)
    n
    1. the act or capacity of understanding
    2. the state of including or comprising something; comprehensiveness
    3. (Education) education an exercise consisting of a previously unseen passage of text with related questions, designed to test a student's understanding esp of a foreign language
    4. (Logic) logic the attributes implied by a given concept or term; connotation)

Never needed to replace a driver in nearly 25 years of experience with these speakers, in multiple series... but if you insist these speakers are meant to play at skull shattering volume, I can see you having nothing but problems.

There are a couple things and a few places I could suggest you put them, but that would be somehow uncouth and result in banning.

    ( un•couth (ʌnˈkuθ)

    adj.
    1. lacking manners or grace; clumsy; oafish.
    2. rude, uncivil, or boorish: uncouth language.
    3. strange and ungraceful in appearance or form.)

Your grammar is so messed up here, I cannot even make sense of it... You say "pretty much the last statement I have to make on this"... I think everyone would agree that we are tired of hearing anything more from you on this matter, yet you leave open the door for more by using the words "pretty much".

My suggestion for the powers that be at Polk, would be to ban the troll at this point, but who am I to make such a suggestion.

35 years being a guitarist and all you can produce is that (yawn) tired Video. I should see if my buddy's 18 year old son can post a you tube video of him playing Red House impressive to say the least 5 years into it and the kids awesome, however he's not as knowledgeable as you when it comes to music reproduction, but he had his skills established 2 years after he picked his Guitar up. I can only imagine his playing capabilities with another 30 years under his belt or his knowledge for music reproduction.
