Another blast from the past. Bjork in her early days. I saw them once in concert and it was quite.....er.....ummm...weird!

Darla, it’s typical Tori Amos with the same type of piano sound and the same cadence in her voice. It’s a bit less spastic than some of her other releases. Some have said the production is a bit stripped down and sparse, I would agree (a good thing). It’s certainly a bit more upbeat and aggressive than her last release “The Bee Keeper”. In the grand scheme of Tori, you can’t mistake it for being her but at the same time it’s a bit gentler than earlier angst driven stuff.

If you are a casual fan or hardcore fan I recommend it. A solid 3.5 out of 5 IMO.

If you like one song by THs then this collection of 33 songs is a must. Great notes too for a CD. Very well engineered.

there isn't really anything else to say about this great album, but that it's even better on DVD-Audio. The extra space afforded on a dvd format really helps the dynamics to open up and sound's excellent.

    Sinead Lohan - No Mermaid

There are some catchy tunes on here. A slight cross between Sinead O'connor and Dolores O'Riordan from the Cranberries. Nothing in particular stands out, but some great beats and nice pop sensibility. Sounds good on SDA's and while the recording isn't stellar there's enough quality to make it enjoyable. The drums are electronic. Sort of reminds of late "80s new wave music.

I was just listening to Henry Rollins... Under the Bridge. I have heard of drums not being life like in speakers. I used to agree. I just had the crap scared out of me. I had it at a moderate level, and the drummer hit the snare with a technique where the stick hits the rim, and the snare at the same time. It made me jump! Did I mention I am so Happy! Is jazz at the Pawn shop similar to this? If it is I must have.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Off the top of my head, JATP first track, "Limehouse Blues," snare drum shots towards the end of the vibraphone solo will get your heart jumping or stopping which ever yours does when startled.:)

    Apocaliptica }:)

I highly recommend these guys! I think they rival the San Francisco Symphony on S&M!!! The 9's and the PB12+2 was rocking the house down on some of the String bass notes! Now If they would have thrown in a Pipe organ that would have toped it of. I had to take the day off due to sever back pain, so tonight I have just been chilling on the couch listing to some music "TO SOOTH THE SAVAGE BEAST". I almost cant wait till next Monday @ 2:45 to get cut on so I don't have to endure this crap any longer "7 years has been to much". Plus thanks to a Workman's Comp Dr. I got screwed out of my Benefits say'n I have degenerative Disk diseases! <--- I looked at that guy and said WTF? I'm 29 yo and I don't jump out of air planes. Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Luther Allison - Live in Chicago-Alligator(alcd4869)

All I can say is this guy could tear it up. Recorded live at The Chicago Blues Festival in 1995. Born and raised to a family of modest means he followed around all the Chicago great's and their influence shows. Luther was able to carve his own style blending many of the influences when growing up.

Disc 1 ends with a blues Medley of epic proportions w/Buddy Guy joining him onstage. Disc 2 has live cuts from Buddy Guys's Legends and The Zoo in Lincoln Nebraska.

Luther Allison remains one of the many vastly underated Blues guitarists period, let alone from the spawning ground of so many greats, Sweet Home Chicago.

Highly recommended if you are a casual Blues listener a Must have for Blues fans.
