Yeah this was interesting for sure. I'm not sure I buy the radar shadow theory, much more plausible is pilot involvement/suicide especially given this new information. So sad, the whole affair is depressing and fascinating at the same time.

Did anyone watch the CCTV footage of the pilots? Check out the body language.
New allegations about one of the individuals piloting the missing Malaysia Airlines jet were reported in the Mail Online Sunday, as authorities continue to examine a flight simulator taken from his home.

According to Mail Online, Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah was a “fanatical” and “obsessive” supporter of Malaysia’s opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim, who was imprisoned for homosexuality hours before flight MH370 vanished.

Shah was reportedly at the trial where Ibrahim was sentenced for five years. Police sources added to the Mail Online that the pilot was a vocal political activist.

A new image of Shah also surfaced online, appearing to show the pilot wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the “Democracy is Dead” slogan.

Regarding that tee shirt Cilantro mentions above, another example of the dangers of jumping to knee jerk conclusions based on incomplete information and preconceived notions, from today's New York Times:

In a photograph posted on Instagram by a friend and fellow political activist, Peter Chong, the pilot wore a T-shirt that referred to the May 2013 date of the election the opposition claimed was stolen, alongside the slogan “Democracy Is Dead.”

As Mr. Chong explained to [The New York Times] in an Internet message: “The T-shirt came about after Malaysia 13th general election in May 2013. Malaysians upset that the side who had 47 percent of the votes remained the government, whilst the side with 51 percent remained the opposition. Thus the T-shirt’s message sums it up correctly and thousands were wearing it. It was a way Malaysians expressed dissatisfaction, a peaceful way.”

That photograph of the pilot’s T-shirt, and his support for Mr. Ibrahim’s political movement, led the anti-Islam blogger Robert Spencer to suggest that Captain Zaharie might have plotted a suicide bombing. However, the evidence Mr. Spencer cited for his suggestion that Mr. Ibrahim is an Islamic extremist comes from the now-defunct website MalaysiaWatcher.com and another site, SarawakReports.org. It was revealed in 2012 that both MalaysiaWatcher.com and SarawakReports.org were created by a conservative American blogger and political consultant who was paid to launch personal attacks on Mr. Ibrahim. Last year, the conservative blogger behind the scheme, Joshua Trevino, admitted to Buzzfeed that he had been paid nearly $400,000 by the Malaysian government, and paid smaller sums to several other writers, to produce pieces attacking Mr. Ibrahim as a dangerous Muslim radical.

For the record, I didn't mention the T-shirt, I quoted John's post. While I did mention pilot suicide, it was in reference to that theory being more plausible than the radar shadow. Ultimately, I think we owe it to the pilots to treat them as heroes in a desperate situation, until proven otherwise. Cheers.

The mystery continues....Malaysian PM goes on record as saying for sure the plane was lost, crashed in the south Indian ocean. Yet, not one piece of debris has been recovered. British Sats picked up some large chunks of something but we have yet to have anyone on site to verify....but they know for sure it's the plane ? Does any of this make any sense ?

Lets say it did crash in the south Indian ocean...for what purpose ? The plane was intentionally diverted, altitude changed, course changed, to crash it into the ocean ?

Only logical explanation so far imho is that the plane was jacked, and the pilots after some time knew what they had to do to avoid the plane being used for other purposes. Maybe even a fight broke out in the cockpit, sending the plane downward. Maybe the passengers stormed the cockpit to try and overtake the jackers and/or pilots. Assuming of course it did go down in the water.

The Malaysian's have botched the whole investigation from day one, then they come out with this statement before one piece of wreckage is substantiated. Finding the whole shebang a tad tough to swallow.

They had to cover up the evidence that aliens were involved. That's why it's taken this long to make a public statement about the demise of the plane. Have you seen the movie U-571? McConaughey fills the tubes with debris and a body and lets the contents float up to fool the ship above them. The debris was left there by one of the governments to cover up evidence that aliens (probably) unintentionally destroyed the ship. The aluminum aircraft was too fragile for the tractor beam. If proof of aliens became public knowledge, there would be total chaos on planet Earth. Why do you think the space shuttles have littered debris all over Earth's orbit? It was to deter alien ships from establishing orbit around our planet. Did you see the movie Gravity? That's the purpose of the debris...to destroy spaceships. In this day and age, the government can no longer blame UFO related instances on a weather balloon. The whole reason of the extreme changes in weather, as some refer to as Global Warming, is due to the increase in mass of the moon. There is an alien space station on the far side that only our government knows about. It has increased the weight of the moon. Why do you think we never went back to the moon? Wake up!

LOL....maybe so, but sure beats being stuck inside that "box" of conventional wisdom. If everyone was to stay inside the box, nothing would be discovered, found, re-written. After all, the conventional wisdom of the day many moons ago dictated the earth was flat.

Just throwing out possible scenarios of the plane mystery. I'm sure it will be awhile before real facts come out....if at all.

I think it was a hijacking, and the ransom was supposed to be paid in time for the plane to land, prior to running out of fuel. Some country or entity decided not to pay, so the hijackers took the plane to bingo fuel and then DB Cooper styled it out the aft hatch.

    That's my theory.

The crap they are feeding us is just that. Crap. Why haven't they explained why the transponder was manually shut off? Why haven't they said why two Iranians with stolen passports were on the plane? The media and gorvernmental agencies are saying what DID happen with no evidence to back it up, but ARE NOT saying what happened and why, with the evidence they do have regarding the plane and it's passengers.

This whole story is BS, in my opinion. If I was a family member of one of the passengers' I would be absolutely pissed off. I am pissed off anyway due to the BS that are trying to shovel.

Probably because everything is speculation at this point. If you know something different then Malaysia would be interested. CNN had an interesting article today about how they figured out which direction the plane went.

Then they should STFU, IMO and not tell us and the family members that the plane crashed in the Indian Ocean. I don't know anything useful to the Malasian officials, but I am also not convinced nor telling anyone that the plane crashed in the Indian Ocean either; and I am not saying this while not explaining why the transponder was shut off manually, nor am I not explaining why two Iranians were on the plane with stolen passports. As I said, they are saying what DID happen with no evidence to back it up, but ARE NOT explaining two highly important aspects to this case and utilizing the evidence they do have regarding these two aspects (Iranians and transponders). Follow up on these please. But, please don't tell us the plane crashed into the Indian Ocean with absolutely NO EVIDENCE that it did. That is BS, pure and simple.
