Percy Harvin and his total 212 yards for the season should have to pay for his ring, I thought for sure he would of been out of the game by the third series. If he could stay healthy he would be worth the money though. I never realized how many ex Vikings got rings to Night. Congratulations to the Seahawks and their fans

Woohoo Seahawks! This kind of stuff doesn't happen in Seattle. we always get close then get ran over.

I really like Manning and think he's one of the best QB's ever, I don't even have a problem with Denver. The media tried so hard to make this a feud but I was scared until there was only a couple of minutes left because it was vs Payton Manning.

Its going to take a while to soak all of this in.

Well said. I have nothing against Denver and Manning really IS as classy as they say. But so is Russell. And we just really REALLY needed this one in Seattle.

    HAHAHAAA!!!!

FWIW, I didn't care who won, and wanted to see a massive Broncos comeback, but as soon as they started acting like jerks on the field I was glad the 'Hawks continued the beatings.

That had to be the worst SB since my own Bears got beat up by the Pats. WTF ??

Denver....had no fire in them, were sadly unprepared, like they were just going threw the motions. Didn't see anything new in the playbook, execution sucked, and their offensive line seemed like they downed some Nyquil PM before the game.

Hate to say it, but they deserved to lose this game. You can't put all your eggs in one basket in Payton Manning and expect to win. Seattle to their credit played consistently, made no turnovers, and never took a chill pill even when they were up 4 TD's. They had a plan, Denver didn't. Like I was watching a different team from the last game they played.

Anybody who has a problem with the Seahawks better get over it quick, because you're going to see lots more like this. I don't see a team in the AFC that can hang with them. Denver won that conference fair and square, beating this hottest and then the most established teams in that conference to even get to the SB, and Seattle made them look second rate. I didn't watch the second half, but judging from the final score it looked like a repeat of the first half.

And if you dislike the Seahawks AND the 49ers then you're really screwed, because you're gonna see lots of those two teams in the playoffs the next few years. I think SF is the only team out there capable of beating the Seahawks in a game when it counts. I'm not saying they will, I'm saying they're capable of it and almost pulled it off in the NFC Championship game.

I think the NFL got it right with having the two best conference teams in the super bowl this year, but not the two best teams in the league. Any reasonable person looking at the NFC game and then the super bowl would have to conclude that the two best teams are Seattle and SF, THEN Denver.

Carolina Panthers will be another team to keep on eye on as well, they are growing, and growing fast..

I said all year that Denver couldn't win the big game with "no special teams" and "no defense" I was just hoping as I have been a fan since I was a kid..

Congrats to Seattle. They deserve it. No turnovers, great defense and miserable play by Denver. Regardless of how good Seattle might be, there is NO excuse for Denver's performance. Could they have won, no! But they certainly should've scored more than 8 points.

Let's not forget that the Seahawks lost to the Colts and had an unbelievably "close" game with Houston? I would venture to say that what we saw last night was Seattle firing on all cylinders. And, I'm sorry to say, that's not always going to be the case in the big game for anyone. There are no guarantees.

That said. I know how much the fans out West needed this. So Party hardy! Celebrate Big. You've got a good team and a "repeat" is possible. But I'm not ready to throw in the AFC towel as quickly as Assimilated is, not yet?

I stopped watching after the second half. It was a done deal. And I've seen Manning go down any number of times in this manner, although it was not just him--I do believe any number of other AFC playoff teams would have fared better (they would not have won, but would have given us a better game).

Even the Saints (whose away game record sucked and had NO defense to speak of) played better than Denver in their Seattle away game?

Finally, how QUICKLY we "forget" last year's game? Where the Niners, close second to the Seahawks, were manhandled for a lot of the game until the "outage". lol

    I don't know what happened with Bronco's.

That punt return was so lame. Five Bronco's players touched the guy but no one was able to tackle.
Looked like Bronco's were dazed and half asleep the whole game.
They were horribly slow and sloppy compared to Seahawks.
1st, Manning never got enough time like in other games so there was no way he could pass too far as no receiver was that far enough before the defense was on top of Manning and when he did pass a short way, the whole Seahawk defense was on top of the receiver.

Bronco's could not protect Manning at all. He got under pressure every time and got hit few times.
Every single time, there were 3 or 4 Seahawk defense where Bronco's ball went.
I mean they just knew where the ball is going to be and slam and just the opposite when it's Seahawk's ball, there was hardly any coverage from Bronco's.
Horrible game, not even a competition.
Gaining even a yard was like a touchdown for Bronco's, so difficult.
It felt like a high school team went against a pro team.
Not only Seahawks had great defense but also great offense.

Sure, the Seahawks lost a couple games during the season, but they came up big when it counted. Those losses during the season don't mean anything now.

You say the other AFC teams would have fared better but I disagree completely. Denver is the best team in the AFC, they didn't get into this game by a win on a fluke play like Baltimore did last year, they went up against the best in the AFC and beat them...easily. And those wins weren't all offense either, Denver was playing a balanced game the last few weeks, winning on both sides of the ball. If you look at the playoff run thru the AFC, there's no way any reasonable person could conclude that Denver wasn't the best team in the conference. There was no luck or fluke involved, they simply outplayed the other teams, simple as that. And then they got CRUSHED by Seattle. Maybe there's another team in the AFC that matches up well against Seattle, but they gotta get out of the conference first, you can't win the super bowl if you're not playing in it.

If they played again next week they probably don't get blasted as bad, but nothing I saw yesterday makes me think that the end result would be any different.

3 NFC title games? Big deal! That guy has been acting like a jerk ever since he became the 4tyWhiners coach. I rooted for him big time when his Colts got to the AFC Championship game against the Steelers. However I can't bring myself to applaud such psychotic behaviors of him during the last few years.
And what's with today's young QBs? The Carolina - SF game was a huge example of how "classy" they are nowadays.
That Cam Newton guy made it look like he's acting instead of playing football. Every time his team got into the huddle, he kneeled on one knee while his teammates bended down to listen to him. Then when they got back to the line of scrimmage, he slowly looked around and sloooowwwwllllllyyyyyy stood up. Like it's a slow motion movie we're watching! What a weenie!
Kaepernick? Yeah, real CLASSY with that touchdown mocking.
And how many SBs have they won? Nada. Look at the Mannings / Brady / Rodgers / Brees... that's how you learn to be a class act, you f@cking young clowns.
On the other hands, young Wilson has showed that he got a steady head. He should be the one wearing the next SB ring. Oh, one more thing, I also hated his coach, ya know, that USC coach who broke all the rules and then abandoned his team to go to Seattle, yep, that one. Anytime his team makes a huge play, the camera automatically turned to show his smirk. Hell, have you won any SB? Again, nada.

I tuned in to a couple ESPN shows and Dan Patrick this morning and, as expected, everybody is piling on Manning today. He's done, overrated, can't throw the deep ball, can't win the big game, he should retire, etc.

I'm not arguing any of those points because I'm too biased, but I do feel bad for the guy.

I said the game would be won by either the Seahawks d-line or the Broncos o-line. Seahawks pressured and forced Manning to move, end of story. Denver's run defense actually did very well. But third down conversions killed them as Wilson was able to scramble and hit receivers for first downs.

I still have yet to hear a true explanation as why the Broncos pooch-kicked to start the second half. Prater's leg is plenty strong enough. I also must question Fox's decision to have the crowd noise practices set at a low level. The level of noise surprised the Broncos (first snap perfect proof).

In the end Assimilated is right, with the Seahawks so young, the next few years belong to them as long as they stay healthy, though the 49er games are going to be brutal battles.

I'm hearing today about some of Fox's decisions in the second half, like punting in the 3rd quarter. I've had problems with him throughout the year, with some bad calls and general lack of discipline on the team with the turnovers and penalties.

Denver obviously needs alot of work on defense, they need some speed there and on special teams, no question about that. Even though they had a miserable showing yesterday I wouldn't futz with the offense much unless you're gonna cut ties with Manning and go with a mobile QB. If you're gonna stick with Manning there's not really much else you can do on offense except get better blocking. You really have two options on offense, either block better or get a mobile QB. If you block that poorly with a statue like Manning back there at QB then you're going to get that same result 100 out of 100 times, simple as that.

Peyton did a similar thing in going out of his way to talk to Ray Lewis right after Denver had their hearts ripped out last year. It's also nice to see Sherman acknowledge that move by Peyton, pretty classy move on his part as well.

The criticism of Peyton now will probably be that he's too friendly and classy, that he doesn't have enough of that 'fire' like Jordan or Tiger...

Well, like you and others have said.. Peyton shouldn't be criticized for this game because I don't think it would have mattered who was under center for the Broncos. I feel bad that he's going to be faced with all those questions. Part of the deal, I guess.
