Who ya got in the big game?

Everything on paper and in my brain tells me that Seattle should win this game, but I just can't get past thinking that this year is special one for Manning. Denver is favored, and I'm not sure why as everything I can think of favors Seattle. The weather is likely going to be bad, the refs have been letting defensive backs beat up the receivers so far, Denver is really going to miss Von Miller for the first time against Wilson, and Seattle typically plays a straight up defense taking away a big part of what makes Manning great in being able to dissect and pick apart a defense.

Everything I can think of is in favor of Seattle winning this game, and yet I'm picking Denver to win. I'm obviously ROOTING for Denver, but if I were forced to put my money on a team I'd still go with Denver. I don't know how yet, but I think somehow Denver finds a way to pull it out.

Side thought, I think Manning really needs this (or another) super bowl for his legacy. He tries to downplay it but I think he cares more about his legacy than he lets on, how could he not? I don't think he'll need a third if he can win this one with a second team, but he needs a second ring to get into a discussion about best ever.

I think it's all on Seattle's D. If they play like New England and the QB has all day in the pocket, Manning picks them to pieces. If they get to him consistently, Seahawks win. I'll go with Denver, but really hope to just see a good game since I have no dog in the fight.

Obviously I'm pulling for my Hawks but it could go either way. Should be a great game with the #1 offense facing the #1 defense. Our offense had better start clicking again though.

    GO SEAHAWKS!!!

I agree with this. It's all about LEGACY. Manning needs it, he wants it, and I believe that his front line will RISE to the occasion in order to help him get it! There is also the possibility that Seattle will "slop" things up. That game with the Niners had a LOT of sloppy defensive moments. Don't give Manning opportunities like that because he will make you PAY!

I'm going with Denver as well. I don't think it will be high scoring, and it might be won in the final minutes but this is what my gut tells me. Can the Seahawks shut Denver down? Sure that could happen. One must always remember Tom Brady and the unstoppable 18-0 team that lost, absurdly, to the Giants and only scored twice after torching all the records like Manning did this year. Yeah, that could happen. But somehow, I don't see it. When the Pats went into that game they had no reason to believe they would lose, but Denver has been through more adversity than that team this year, and I think "that" will be the difference!

Denver by a field goal, maybe in the final minutes! They find a way to break loose!

Denver by 6. Manning is zoned in right now, weather be damned. By the way, this contest is between teams from the two states that have legalized marijuana to some extent. Feel free to come up with your own nickname for the game.

I know it was a short week play, but really the only time this season Manning looked like crap and was in a funk was against San Diego. As long as he doesn't fall into that trance he is quite difficult to beat. In the same measure 'Hawks seem to carry the lucky horseshoe in their pocket and even on there less dynamic low scoring games they seem to clobber their opponents ability to score.

I wouldn't bet a nickle on this game because it really can go either way

As long as Percy Harvin don't get a ring I don't care, so that means Denver wins. I read today that there was a chance if Percy did play the chance of him getting hit by a flying skittle were good and would likely cause him another injury. Denver 27-17

    Broncos by 10
I think Manning is going to pick them apart. They haven't faced this high powered offense and no one the Seahawks played this year scores like the Broncos do.
The Bronco's Defense I believe is going to shut down their running game as well as cause so many problems for the pass. I think a few sacks will be seen here.
Special teams is where I'm nervous unless they put Decker back their every play. I don't want to see a fumble cost the game.

Classless QB? I hope that's a typo, Wilson has as much class as any player in the NFL. If it was CB you need to do some more research. Sherman, although brash has plenty of class...

Two very class acts at qb.

Sherman is a very intelligent guy, smart enough to know how to grab all the attention from his team, which is tiresome, unless of course, you are a media ****.

It all comes down to who wins the battle between the Broncos o-line and the Seahawks d-line. Manning averages getting rid of the ball in 2.36 seconds. If the Seahawks can get to Manning by then the Lombardi trophy belongs to Seattle. If not, Manning becomes the first QB to win it for two different teams.

    GO BRONCOS!

I hope I don't have to give up my man-card for saying this, but I can't root for Seattle because of those uniforms. Lime-green? Are you kidding me? And I used to love their unis as a kid...the great days of Jim Zorn and Steve Largent:)

As for the actual game, I'm with Ron in that I wouldn't bet a nickel on it. Should be a great game.

I actually like the Seattle uniforms, that's my favorite thing about the team. Next to the Colts and maybe the Broncos that's probably my favorite uniform in the league. There's a nostalgia for me tied to the 49ers uniforms and I guess I have to like them since I"m a fan, but in reality I actually don't like those colors.
