I'm not particularly fond of the Seahawks, but I DO hope they kick the 49'ers arse.

While I love snow and bad weather in football, I don't want it in the championship game. The whole point of the super bowl to me is to find the best team in football, the team that at the end of the year the rest of the league can look at and say "Yes, that's the best of us". I feel like bad weather can interfere with that. You get conditions bad enough and end up with a sloppy game and the better team may not win.

i can see your point in this.

I get a lot of crap for being a Peyton Manning fan, and then when I come across articles like this it sorta helps reinforce my thinking:

Not surprised at all that Peyton's at the top of that list. Who would it be that's giving you a lot of crap about being a PM fan? Actually, other than Brett Favre, I don't think there's been anyone who I've ever known of who had as many fans, even in the non-football-fan crowd. He has almost universal appeal.....commercials, interviews, SNL hosting (hilarious!)...seems like an all-around great guy.

What did surprise me about that list was how far down it Aaron Rodgers was. It must be because he missed several games this year with a fractured clavicle. I think he's about as good as I've ever seen play QB - everything seems to be moving in slow motion out there to him - and he seems to be a very classy guy on all fronts too. Note: My saying this counts double, as I'm a diehard Vikings' fan [ :o( ] with purple blood and "we" have to face Rodgers twice per season. Vikes got pummeled by the Pack when Rodgers was on the field this season in the first game and tied when he was out with his injury.

Having followed the Pats since I moved to N.E. I've always had the greatest respect for Manning. How can you not after so many meetings with the Colts, Brady and Manning? Two of the best. Every meeting, I believe, caused some anxiety on both sides. But whatever the outcome it was always worth watching the game.

I have no doubt we'll see this again this week, except that I'm giving the edge to Denver this time. N.E. has done some incredible things this season with very "little" but you can't win a SB with that! Now, if this were a fully healthy N.E. team, that would be a very different story and a problem for every team "left" in the playoffs. But it ain't gonna happen this year.

And why not a second ring for Manning, Tom's already got three?

I've been a Broncos fan for 46 years, through bad times and many more good times since 1977. I really do want them to win Sunday, but cornerback Chris Harris' torn ACL last week most like have tipped the scale in favor of the Patriots. There is no word on whether Champ Bailey goes back to being the full time starter or stays as the nickel back to protect his healing foot. Quinton Jammer admitted to playing like crap in the fourth quarter. Tony Carter has been in the dog house (game day scratch) for weeks now.

Normally, the teams with the fewest injuries make it to the championship game, but this year both teams have lost several starters for the year, especially defense. It's too bad the game Sunday wasn't being played at full strength. That would truly have been an amazing game.

Yep I'm pretty worried about the Bronco defense this weekend against Brady and that running game. I think this game is going to come down to Manning being able to put up enough points to overcome that defense. I think the broncos will need 35 points to even be in the game.

Can it be done? Sure, but the track record against the Pats isn't very good. I'm shocked that Denver is favored going into this game, even at home...

The Pats almost always win because of Tom. Hard to imagine the outcome with a solid running game and with Tom having a good
    day.

The Broncos' and Pats' O-lines have done a great job so far. Let's see who can put pressure on the QB more.
The Pats has always loved to be an underdog. And I think they will run hard again in order to keep Manning on the sideline as much as possible. They definitely will go after Jammer if he's in. I hope they scratch that lob pass to the left sideline for Vereen. That guy has dropped almost all of those passes at critical points this season, kinda like the Welker drop during the 2012 SB.
It's not going to be too cold on Sunday, so it's a plus for Manning & the Broncos.

What more can we ask for!!! Two young guns in the West, two legends in the East!!! What a weekend this will be!!!

I've been a Bronco's fan since 1983 or 4 when John Elway started playing for them. I saw him and became a Elway fan then a Broncos fan. I'm a lifetime Steeler / Eagles fan but Elway Added the Bronco's to my favorites and became #1 after a few years in.

Payton is incredible and so is the Offense. The plays they run and how they move the ball is simply amazing. It's the best overall Offense I have seen since John Elway /Shannon Sharpe / Terrel Davis / Rod Smith / Ed MaCaffrery played. Back then that was my favorite offense of all time.

This game I feel pretty good about a win. I think they are on a mission and I don't think the Patriots are going to stop them this time.
I'm still nervous as anything can happen and when Tom Brady is on the field, it's a huge problem. I find him to be on the same Level as Payton and has done things with lesser quality players better then anyone in the league. He finds ways to win and so does the entire team. Truly an amazing ball club.

If the Broncos do win, I'd love to see the 49ers make it but I think the Seahawks are to balanced and that defense is flat out scary.
If the Seahawks do make it along with the Broncos I think we will as fans see one of the greatest Superbowl's of all time. It's rare for the best offense vs the best Defense in the Superbowl. Thats exciting to say the least.

As a life-long Pats fan I've seen them take some pretty bad beatings at the hands of the Elway-era Broncs, especially in Denver. The 2013-14 Broncos - while an exceptional team this year - is not quite in the old Bronco's league. I sense in them a lack of toughness against a grittier opponent. On paper the Broncos should kick NE"s butt, but the Patriots have put together some special. I would not be surprised if they pull it out in a squeaker. It should be quite a game.

I don't follow the NFC closely, but it's tough to win in Seattle. I think the 49er's do it though.

I hope everyone has fun watching the games, in my opinion these games are usually better than most superbowl games.

    It's game day!

For some reason I'm a lot more nervous about the Bronco game than the 49er game. I don't know if that's because in my mind I've already given Seattle that game at home or because I know Peyton is running out of games to prove all the nay-sayers wrong and get that multiple ring or if it's because I secretly believe that the Pats are going to crush the Broncos today.

My wife tells me that I get way too invested in these games.

Agreed on one point though, these conference games are almost always better than the Super Bowl.

    Yep, agree with that too.

Denver's defense, though not bad the last game hasn't been up to snuff all season. Even the offense has had some ups and downs. You could say the same for the Pats. This game more so than the other will depend on who makes the least amount of mistakes.

I think Seattle takes the 49ers by 2 touchdowns.

A Denver and Seattle Superbowl will be more exciting than a Denver/49ers game.
