What are your predictions? Here are my first round predictions:
I've got my Colts beating the Chiefs, but I feel the least confident in this pick given the lack of consistency from the Colts.
I have the Chargers beating the Bengals. I definitely hope I am wrong here because that puts my Broncos playing the Chargers next round and Peyton against SD typically doesn't end well for me.
I've got Philly beating NO but only because they're IN Philly. Of the 4 games, this is the only one I think is affected by location, my other three picks would be regardless of location.
I can't go against my 49ers so have them winning in GB. I'm just not completely sold on GB right now, even with Rogers in there. I'm also not feeling great about the way SF is playing and am still not sold on Kaepernick as an NFL QB, but I think they've got enough to get thru the first round.
The team I'm most concerned about is my Broncos, alot of people have them in the super bowl and yet if you look at their path it doesn't look great as 3 of the next possible 4 teams they can face present problems. They've already beaten KC twice and very rarely do you beat the same team three times in one season. They've already lost to the Chargers and Peyton doesn't typically play well against that defense. They've already been beaten by the Colts and I don't think that was a fluke. Really their best path is thru Cincy, who is the number 3 seed and is very good this year. Then if they manage to get out of the first round they likely get to play New England, who has already beaten them as well this year. I'm not saying they can't pull it off, and they're still my pick to go to the super bowl, but it's going to be a tough road for them.
So, who ya got?

I sure hope not, he seems like he'd have at least a couple more good years in him. I don't think he'll hang on too long like Favre did, but win or lose I don't see him calling it quits after this year.

I'm in complete agreement with these picks, except that I see a possible Denver/Seattle game as a 50/50 chance. I do not believe that BOTH of those teams will make it all the way. And if they do meet, the game will be much tighter and lower scoring: like 20-24 (take your pick, because that could either be a Denver win or a Seattle snuffing of the vaunted Denver offense--remember the 2007 Patriots, anyone?)

Agreed with the match-up but scores reversed. Go Seahawks! -
Colts, Saints, Bengals, and Niners
-
Chiefs
Chargers
New Orleans
Green Bay
Top 4 to the big show
AFC Patriots vs Denver with the riots edging
NFC Panthers vs Seahawks with the hawks choking in the final 2min.
Bowl
Patriots vs Panthers.............too close to call.Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!! -
Interesting...4 of the 5 old AFC West Conference Teams have a shot.... with the Broncos and Seahawks probably going to the big game. The Raiders will always suck.

Green Bay
Philly
Although NO & 49'ers are the better teams I think weather and home field will prevail
Bengals unless they plague themselves with turnovers

They may have to redo that movie poster is Seattle players keep getting popped for violation of NFL drug policy

The Chargers will start slow, have a burst of scoring, some big plays, then implode late in the 4th.

AFC Championship game will be the Chiefs and Broncos with a Blow out 55-14 win Broncos.
I think the mistake is going to count the Eagles out. They are on the raise and I think they keep getting better each week. They are taking care of the ball on all sides and I think they have a good enough Defense to make it to the Superbowl. Win it? No I think they lose to the Bronco's 48 - 28. The Eagles will Play the 49ers in the NFC Championship game and win by 3. Looking like 24-21.Dan

Given that my lowly Vikings destroyed the Eagles(their only good game all year) I think the Eagles, and Packers are the weakest teams in the playoffs.

I'll take Seattle in the NFC (homefield throughout is huge for them) and...........I'm honestly not sure in the AFC.
Denver could get 1 more ring for Peyton, but no Von Miller scares me. I know they survived the start of the season without him, but this is the playoffs. The Patsies somehow managed to outperform this year, but I just can't buy them going all the way. KC feels like the right pick, but those are the ones that burn you.
I'll say Seattle 24-17 over Denver in a nail biter.2007 Club Polk Football Pool Champ

The Bengals over the Chargers is the biggest lock this week. Chargers nearly got beat by KC's scrubs last week. Their defense is way too lame to hold up on the road, in inclement weather vs a superior defense and equal, if not better, offense.
I think SF beats GB. Aaron Rodgers is too soon back for a game like this, Clay Matthews out on defense hurts them big time.
NO will pull the upset on the road against Philly. Drew Breeeees!
And finally, Indy beats KC for the 2nd time in 3 weeks, this time at home in the cozy confines of the dome with home crowd advantage.2 channel - Willsenton R8 tube integrated, Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE DAC, audio optimized NUC7i5, Windows 10 Pro/JRiver MC29/Fidelizer Plus 8.7 w/LPS and external SSD drive, PS Audio PerfectWave P3 regenerator, KEF R3 speakers, Rythmik F12SE subwoofer, Audioquest Diamond USB cable, Gabriel Gold IC's, Morrow Audio SP5 speaker cables. Wow, just wow!!!!!
Ok be honest, how many of you turned it off right after halftime when the Chiefs went up by 28? I probably would have, had it not been my team playing.
Unfortunately half the KC team had to get injured for us to take the win, but a win is a win I guess. -
Yeah, I turned it off, figured things were over even though I went with the Colts above? And NOW! Pretty impressive comeback there! This is exactly the kind of "peaking" that a team should have if it's going to go all the way! Looks like the Colts WILL be a problem next week!
