Hey, I just discovered this whole demo thing. I would love to demo every one of those expensive cables, but realistically I probably couldn't afford them. Do you have a price list for these? I was interested in signal cable, but wasn't sure of the prices for the others. If you had a price list for these that would be lovely...

hopefully it isn't listed in the pages from 3-19 because I read the first three but decided I should skip the next 16.

    Thanks,

    Chris

Chris - I do not list the prices. All of that information is easily found on the internet, and the review threads contain links to the manufacturers or POC(e.g. DH Labs, "Venom")

There is only one cable that exceeds $100, and that was only because of a recent 2005 price increase across the board. It was $95 last year.

I wanted to keep all the cables slotted in a reasonable price bracket for everyone to enjoy.

The objective isn't to change peoples minds or have them spend money, especially more money than may be neccesary. It exists to allow the individual the opportunity to form their own opinion about this subject, instead of riding the wave of someone else's opinion.

Please feel free to pick a few and sign up, you're more than welcome to check them out. Thanks for reading the earlier stuff :)

Nope, about 2,000 miles NE of there. I'm out on this game. Gotta send the Preludes out this week and I won't be dabbling in this test anymore...

James opted out, there was no one else on the list, so spawned volunteered for the Homegrowns, which I sent.

DH LABS SILVER SONIC on their way to dcarlson. (very expensive to ship to Canada now via ups.)

    King Cobras went to racer.

Could you put me in line for the

    1. Signal Cable Analog 2 Interconnects
    2. Homegrown Audio SC1-Silver(Version 1)
    3. Anti Cable Speaker cable

I'm not using a high end system, but maybe I can provide a perspective for difference nicer cables make in lower end speakers and components. If you all don't think that it'll be very helpful or not worth the time. I would just like to try out the DIY cable - Homegrown audio in particular, because I would like to make my own cables soon. The other cables are just for comparisons to my RCA/Monster (free monsters...ok).

Really wanted to try the ethereals but i guess that didn't work out...

    Thanks Guys,

I'll update the roster next, and thanks go out to those that have joined other programs, but I wanted to drop in some new demo tidbits:

Outlaw Audio 1.2M Analog RCA(Locking) IC's donated by an outstanding Polkie, HTRookie. I've had some Outlaw IC's previously, and the quality is high.

Zebra Cables 2M Analog RCA(Locking-Vampire Wire) donated by another true Polkie, Burnzy. Burnzy, Scott, is an agent of Zebra and has also let me know that they are offering registered Polkies a 10% discount on their products, at time of online ordering. Just enter " PolKie1_0 " at time of checkout for the discount to be applied. I've talked with Scott personally and he's a very nice guy, and after receiving the cables today...the product is top notch and I'm very impressed with both the aesthetics and the build quality. I will check them out on the reference rig, just to see how they sound and act under real world stress :)

    www.zebracables.com

I won't be posting any thoughts on these cables as that's your job. I'm checking them all out, but it's my intention to not skew the reviews for you folks.

I encourage all Polkies to get into this program, get involved, participate.....I created this program for YOU. There are others that have contributed their own gear for YOU. Try it out, have fun, get mad, whatever, as the point is to just let you make your own decision as to the benefit, or lack thereof regarding cables.

Anyways, two more cables are being launched. This should easily fill the void left by Ethereal Cables horrible business practices and customer level demeanor.

    Cool....

Well I would love to try out some analogs, but can't afford these for my SACD stuff. Would still need 3 pairs so I'll sit those out.

Will there ever be any digital interconnects in the Swap? haha....2 channel...yes I know....but I'm looking to upgrade that one, and my speaker wire...but well waiting on that speaker wire.. =)

Thanks for donating to the program!
