    Dave -

I just want to share my thoughts and say thanks for taking this on. And to DarqueKnight for taking the time to perform the task of evaluating different torroidials. Thanks to you both for showing us the light!!!

Thanks DarqueKnight and everyone else that chimed in. I was just trying to help DarqueKnight with research that he was doing on larger toroids (Pass Labs x600.5's or x1000.5's in your future DK?). Really all the thanks go to DarqueKnight. Without his original research with the 800va toroid, we wouldn't be here right now doing this group purchase.

I dont think I have it in me to purchase another torroid once I get this one. Just think, anyone who purchased Larrys cases would be lining up to purchase a new one if the torroids exceed the case size.

If the torroid dont fit - ya gotta quit.

I'm good with all info on who has paid with the exception of two final shipping addresses. Now that I have a paypal history for all that are participating, I will weed out the PM box.

I asked about this issue with Melanie and should confirmed to me that it would be an identical unit. I will now double check with her to make sure that there will be no dimensional changes since Larry will most likely be proceeding with the cases.

Pass Labs x600.5's or x1000.5's in your future DK?

I was seriously considering a pair of x600.5's. They show up a every now and then on the used market. They wouldn't work in my current room because of the heat they generate.

I sent an email yesterday to A-L regarding the dimensions for the new group order run. The reply I got back from Melanie yesterday is that the new units would not exceed the dimensions on the issue one spec sheet which I believe would be the following:

    diameter- 185mm
    height-85mm
    weight-10kg

    Mcintosh C-45

I can get 10 cases per sheet of aluminum, I am going to purchase and run 2 sheets that gives us 20 cases..

I will put those that are the most important part of this project and group buy at the top of the list and go down from there.

If it looks like 30 cases or close to it are sold I will run 1 more sheet but I think 20 will cover you guys as it stands now!!

I am thinking $80 shipped, I need to get with the paint shop about paint first..
