AV-047548 Isuue 2 pricing

Here is the long awaited pricing from Melanie at Avel Lindberg. I would like to put this out as a worst case scenario with pricing only getting better as quantities increase. I originally was thinking about a three day time period and think that a week is more reasonable. By Wednesday night we should know where we are at and then the money would have to be deposited by Friday lets say 12:00 noon so I could send A-L their 50% deposit. The lead time is approx. 12 weeks with a 50% deposit to get started and 50% due prior to shipping. I have rounded off the price plus shipping to the next dollar or 50 cents. I will also have to check, but the only people that i would think would have to pay tax would be CT. residents. The shipping would be dropped shipped (med USPS) within the USA. directly from A-L as long as I provide them the shipping addresses. All money would have to be sent to my Pay-Pal account as a gift since I have not included the Pay-Pal fee's in these prices below.

So here it goes

10 pcs. $268.43 plus $11.35 shipping= $280.00

15 pcs. $244.16 plus $11.35 shipping=$256.00

20 pcs. $223.11 plus $11.35 shipping=$234.50

25 pcs. $210.04 plus $11.35 shipping=$221.50

Thanks Dave

    Thanks Mike,
I wanted to see what kind of interest there will be now that the pricing has been set. This way we'll know what price tier we will be working with. As of now, I'm taking two and it looks like your in for one.

Dave, I am in for one of these please. It would be nice if we could get to the 25 quantity as the price drops pretty dramatically and from the number of people that posted in the other thread, we were close to that number. It's do-able!

Dave, another idea that may make things easy and keep you out of hot water with PP, you start getting a bunch of payments as gifts and you will get spanked.

I would send an invoice to everyone using PP, there you could send cost of transformer, shipping and PP fee. Just a thought.

Remember PP fee is 3% + .30. Most people forget the 30 cents piece.

Tracy is right, PP will spank you for all those gifts. His invoice idea is excellent.

Ok, where are the other 12?

All I can say is, I have no patience and put the Plitron in my system lastnight. Very pleased and based upon DKs assessment we are in for a real treat with the AV transformer.

The other 2% will work for WalMart.

Don't let that stop you. If it gets you moving I will build for you at no charge. While the Plitron was bested by the AL in DKs test, it has not taken anything away by having it in the mix in my rig, it has enhanced.

I have sent pm's out to all that said they might be interested and have heard back from about half. I'm hoping to be able to know the final quantity by Wednesday so I can post the price with shipping and paypal fees. I would really like to give A-L a deposit by Friday. So here's where we are right now. Please, if anyone on this list below is not definetly sure their going to participate, please let me know. This list is how I plan on coming up with the price tier that we will be going on.

Let's keep our fingers cross that we can hit 20 or close to it. There is still about 6 members that I have sent pm's to which haven't responded. I think there is going to be a lot of regrets from members once the ship has sailed. I know I was one when I found out that the last three from the fist run were gone.

Part of my rationale for 2 is exactly the point you make. Worst case, if I don't need the 2nd one, I believe it wouldn't be hard to sell down the road for what I'll have in it.

I just bought a pair of mono block so I'll need at least one. I'm afraid that once I hear the A-1 with the 2.3tl's that I'll want one for my second system with my 3.1's. The third is for my brother.

Yes, you will want one for the 3.1TL's after you hear the AI-1 Dave. I own a set of 2.3TL's and a set of 3.1TL's as well. Very nice speakers they are.

Very nice ! Thank you Dave and others for sticking with this.

Again, if you are on the fence just do it. My Wright amp is common ground and I like what I am hearing with the Plitron. If anyone is concerned about the DIY part I will volunteer to assemble your AI. If it helps I will provide you the parts to order.

Like Larry said some time back, I wish I had done this sooner.

    Dave,
Sorry that I took so long to respond. I couldnt seem to get anywhere near a computer yesterday. Pricing is actually better than I expected. I also didnt expected a quantity price break to occur until around 100 units. Appreciate all of your work on this project.

To anyone that is still sitting on the fence on this opportunity, please realize that this may be your ONLY chance to acquire one of these transformers.
    I'll take 2 units.
    Thanks,

This transformer should have the same response rate as Larry's ring or Gimpods boards. This may be an even more necessary upgrade than the other two. This will allow a host of options for amplifiers in the future. Snooze you loose on this one. Check behind the sofa cushions and sell Grandma's prized quilts, whatever it takes to get one on order.
