Thanks for the gesture, but no thanks. First, lets hit the 25pc order. Need 4 more memeber payments for 5 more units. I will either refund the extra cash to all members or how about purchasing an unit with the extra money and we have some type of lottery for members that participated in the group buy. If there was anything left over, I was thinking of sending something to Melanie for her help from the Club Polk Memebers. She has been a pleasure to work with. I will send out a pm to the last four members as a payment reminder.

Great idea Dave.Taking care of Melanie with any extra $ would be a nice gesture for sure.

It looks like about 8 cases so far, I will look into a full sheet of pre anodized .060 aluminum and cut as many as I can..

Cool. I assume the mounting holes for the feet will be pre-drilled. Any thought on changing the orientation of the case from horizontal to vertical based on DK's observations of a bit more detail when aligned this way? If I'm stepping on your fabrication toes by asking these questions just tell me to shut up and color.

There's no way I can justify buying a transformer in this "group buy"; among other things I don't own a late-generation SDA that can use the AI-1. (Someday...)

OTOH, if one of you is upgrading an older Dreadnaught...what's the going rate for a used Dreadnaught transformer? Maybe you already have a case, and either want to sell with the case, or pull the smaller transformer out and install one from this group buy?

It's conceivable that I would buy a used transformer and stash it for the day I find a newer pair of speakers than the 1Bs I currently have.

I would check back in about 3 months. I'm thinking there's going to be a few 800VA transformers needing good homes. If I let mine go, it would be without the case.

So can I get some feed back on what I should do if we get to the 25pc. pricing tier. Do members want a refund (approx. $13.00 - PP fee) or should we purchase an extra unit to auction off in a lottery to the members that participated. There are still 2 people that I haven't heard from yet which could meet the 25 pc pricing. At our current quantity 23, I could use the extra money to bump the quantity by one and ask Melanie for the 25 pc. pricing. I know it's a bit late, but I would like to get some feedback from the group.

    Thanks Dave

Melanie has sent an invoice request to the billing department for 26 units this afternoon. We have 25 units sold to 19 members and 1 unit purchased for the lottery. I believe that the A-L will be using the same AV-047548 issue 1 name for our custom run. Melanie said the first invoice will be for 50% of the cost of the units. The second 50% will be for when the units are completely fabricated. The third will be for the shipping cost when there ready to leave their facility. I want to thank everyone for sending in their payments in a timely manner and making this happen.
