Mine was sent in last night as well. Forgot to tell you my board name in the pp note though. I did notice that it didn't come through as an invoice though, just a pm with "send money. That's ok, I was just expecting the invoice so you could move the pp fees back to us.

Thanks, I figured it out last night. I'm hoping tonight we'll get some more payments once people get home from work.

I received an email asking if I would do another run of Dreadnought cases for those of you looking at taking on this DIY project. I would be willing to do so if enough of you are interested...

Those of you that have yet to use a dreadnought will be pleasantly surprised when all is said and done...

Here is an update. 17 units deposited, 1 money order pending. Need to have $ for 7 more units from 6 members and then I can send deposit. I am hoping that I will be having to give refunds to all member for the 25pc. price, but I am going to ask the remaining people who haven't sent there money in to please keep the dollar amount the same. Reason being is that Once I have have the money order and 1 more unit paid for (a total of 20pcs.), the ship will sail on Monday after 12:00pm (noon) with the current price that all have paid. I will post up a list later today of members who still need to contribute as a reminder and to make sure all have been pm'ed a pay-pal address. The only mail box that was full was Lasareath's which needed to be emptied. Otherwise I believe everybody should have gotten pm a request.

    Thanks Dave

I was wondering what cases people were planning on using. How many would be needed for a run and what would the pricing be?

If there's not enough people interested, does anyone have a case recommendation?

I can tell you the price will not exceed $80 a unit. I would like them to be around $70, keep in mind all holes that are needed to mount the hardware and tranny will be in place.

There are a few guys here that have one and can tell you they look and work great..

Larry's is the one to get since I assume it will come pre-drilled other wise I think DK used Par-metal. http://www.par-metal.com/ I believe Sal used them as well.

Thats cheaper than Par-metal and pre-drilled. Only way to go IMO. I like mine.

In your original construction thread you and DK discussed using aluminum vs. steel. Which will it be?

I can vouch for Larry's work - I bought one for my A-L 800VA AI-1 and it looks totally professional and like another piece of audio equipment.

Assembly is a piece of cake since all the holes are pre drilled.

If we get to the 25 pc. price, I say you can keep the $13 difference. Worth it to me for the time you put into this project. That's only about 3 gals. of gasoline.

Thanks for the gesture, but no thanks. First, lets hit the 25pc order. Need 4 more memeber payments for 5 more units. I will either refund the extra cash to all members or how about purchasing an unit with the extra money and we have some type of lottery for members that participated in the group buy. If there was anything left over, I was thinking of sending something to Melanie for her help from the Club Polk Memebers. She has been a pleasure to work with. I will send out a pm to the last four members as a payment reminder.
