You would be number 18 if your in. Worst case pricing would be $264.00 with paypal or best case $242.00. I will double check these prices before I ask for anyone to send money. I will call Melanie to see if A-L will honor the 20 pc. pricing since we are so close. I am hoping that all memebers that have posted here are going to follow thru in a timely manner so that I don't either have to ask or refund members the $22.00 difference between the 15 and 20pc. pricing.

SO before this thread gets moved to oblivion....can some kind of clarification happen here? I'm understanding the intention, and it's looking pretty cool but it needs to be in the right spot and identified also. I just wondered what I missed during my hiatus in the netherworld.

Mark,
Please let me know how you would like this handled. I didn't think or know that we were breaking any forum rules.This group order would be to just help out members obtain an item that would never be possible without the numbers needed to make this possible. As you know, this is a non-profit group order. Our plans would be to put this to rest by the end of the week. Please advise or pm me how to proceed.

I'd PM you if it was possible. Your PM box is full so I responded publically. Why would a group buy not be in the WTB area? It's not a big deal at all, and I was just asking. No, I don't know its a non-profit and don't care, be FOR profit if its a solid venture for our members....just trying to get it in the right spot and get it the most eyes. Anything that benefits this forum and its members is and always has been a welcome addition here, within reason of course. The members that are involved in the thread prove that, again, just asking.....

EDIT: Just talked to FJROSS and he's super cool, we're just trying to get this thread tightened up and in the right spot. Thanks Dave for taking the time to chit chat : - )

I talked to Dave today, what a great dude and a great group buy being setup for you folks that are interested. Get on the bus if you aren't already. I may buy a couple just to toss in a box for some later project.

O.K., here we go. I spoke to Melanie and she said that honoring the 20pc pricing is not an issue for our 19 unit total. We need all that threw their hat in the ring and committed to this order to come forward and deposit money into the paypal account in a timely manner. The deadline is going to be noon Monday 4/23/1. Please be advised that if members back out, and we can't meet the 20pc pricing that we will all have to anty up additional money to meet the 15pc. pricing. I don't think you want to be that guy. If I'm not mistaken, the amount will be approx. $22.00 plus or minus pay-pal fees. I want every one to know that there is a 12 week leadtime that I have no control over. Once you commit, you are in for good and there will be no backing out and requesting a refund. The refund is not the issue. The concerned is about not meeting the pricing tier and asking the remaining members for addtional money. Please feel free to contact Melanie at Avel-Lindberg to check on the status of the group order when ever the spirit moves you. I will pm the participating members with my paypal address this evening. Please make sure you post your user name in the paypal memo box so that I can know who's sending money as well as your shipping address. Hopefully we pick up an additional 5 or 6 units by Monday and I will have to refund a few bucks back. Here is the member list with quantities. I want to thank all for help making this happen. With out the group, we would not be possible. The price per unit with shipping (inside the U.S.) and paypal fee will be $242.00 ea. CT. residents will also be responsible for sales tax.

Mark, the $22.00 is the addtional money that participating members would have to pay if we don't meet the 20 pc. quantity. The price tier is listed in the first post on this thread. The unit cost for a 20pc order is $242.00. The unit price for a 15pc order is approx $264.00.

Thanks Lasareath....whew that changes perspective, LOL. I'll do one in that case since I'm not even going to use the damn thing anytime soon.

EDIT: Nah, I'll do two of them and get them in the parts bin at Polk HQ. This is the kind of special order that one should try and get a spare or extra, just in case, or for another similar project down the road. You never know and it never hurts to have it and I'm surprised that a couple of the folks in the list aren't going with two, instead of one....but they may be in the same boat as me for the most part. I have no immediate need for it but WILL in the future.
