I picked it up at midnight and played for about 2 hours. It's going to take some getting used to and there were some server issues. Also, the code i received from BestBuy for the Spectact skins unlocked dog tags instead. Bestbuy, always **** stuff up. Apparently this is happening to everyone that pre-ordered at BestBuy. There is supposed to be a new code emailed in 24-48 hrs to all of those that preordered to get the Spectact kit. I'm pretty beat (not as young as I used to be) from staying up that late then getting up at 6 for work, but that's not going to stop me from being on tonight. I'll see all of my Xbox brethren on live tonight .

I setup a platoon on battlelog.battlefield.com called POLK. Let me know when you guys have signed up for battlelog and we can put ourselves all in the platoon. That way we can track our stats as a group as well.

I ordered mine on amazon using the free shipping so I won't get it until early next week. But I actually did this on purpose... I wanted all the pre-order deals but I have an interview friday and an 8 hour certification test saturday which I've been studying my **** off for. So I have no choice but to study instead of hours playing a video game:wink:.

After the hell of this week, I'll be sure to join up with you guys.

Got my XBL gamertag on my dog tag at the launch at work. Have a copy on PC and 360 but will mainly play it on 360 due to most of my friends being on Xbox. Add me if you want to play.

I ordered mine at GameStop and it shipped today. USPS says it's due to arrive on Friday. (I really hope it does--I'd hate to wait till Monday!) I should have ordered at Newegg when they had the promo but oh well. I know I overpaid but a lot of my friends are already playing it.

I was playing a bit last night and the spot where you must follow the cable, something weird went on. I could not see anything, I could see my weapon but looking ahead it was all red. I would walk towards the red and then the background would finally appear. after I finshed that part where you need to unplug the two cables it was fine. Not sure it it was a glitch only on my system, or it was the disk or my PS3. But so far so good.

I started the Campaign mode last night and it is pretty good so far. The audio is great (Polks had the wife complaining), as well as the graphics. The storyline and gameplay could be a little better but I am fine with it.

I have not gone on line yet but will try to do some multi player tonight.

I have been watching, and reading this thread. I have not said anything, because I was waiting for the game to get to me. So, here are my thoughts. The game over all is good. The graphics are pretty good, but by no means steller. Some complaints I have is, (cant remeber what mission it is off hand) when you get into one of the Hummers, you see one of them turn, but when you look at the front wheels, they stay straight, and dont turn like a real vehicle. When the AI puts the gun to his shoulder, it still disapears into his shoulder instead of looking like it is against the shoulder. Another one is in the mission bad side of town. When you are on the roof top, and after supporting you coreman, and the wounded person, your team is forced to find another way off the roof top. They grab a board, and then cross. The last person who cross over Montes is floating ontop of the board, and when he kicks it over so no one else can follow one foot is still on the board, and the one that kicks to board again disapears into the board. Another one is when you are about to be in the plane. If you watch the pilot when he turns his head, his chin seems to make his suit collar again disapear. I guess there are just somethings in real life that can not be projected into a game. As for the campaign, I thought it could have been longer. I beat the whole game (if you exclude the cut scenes) in like 4 hrs or less I think cant remeber. Granted it was on easy to start, but still it could have been a bit longer. I know that when you play it on the normal, and then hard it will take a little more time, but still the story line could have been better, and could have been move actual game play. I found my self just getting into the mission, then I would get the cut scene. Kind of aggrevating to me a little. Over all though the game is fun, and a nice addition to my collection.

That's funny, I noticed the same thing last night.

Amazing how we are disappointed when we do not get perfection in these games. However, the developers have set their own bar so high it gets tough to meet that standard I think.

mudwrx, I have to agree with you on that note. They set the bar so high, and made it sound so good, and yet it seems like they forgot the basic's, like the wheele turning. I mean when you look at BC2 which I have as well, the wheeles always turn when you turn them. Sure the complaint is probably petty in all, but with all this hype, and time they spent on trying to get this to be good. They let the small things that should have been a given go to the way side. So, yeah -1 for them on that.

Well, I got the chance to play online for a few hours last night, and had a total blast. Some of the most fun gaming for me in recent memory. Didn't get kicked out or dropped from the server a single time like we did on Tuesday.

I got my xbox linked with my battlelog account, under the name shep13 or shepx13, can't remember. You have to use the same email your xbox live has or it won't work.
I'll be on again tonight after 9 cst

I played on line for the first time last night (PS3). I had a little trouble getting on a server at first, but once connected all was good.

I've never played the COD titles before, plus I'm not the best first person shooter gamer. So when I got in a Rush game I was very confused and a little frustrated. At first I didn't even know where to go or what to do (besides trying to shoot anything that moved). Of course I got killed every other second, as I was just trying to get my bearings straight.
I almost threw in the towel and said screw it, but I kept trudging along.

After a few rounds a started figuring things out and actually got a few kills under my belt. Now that I understand the premise of the Rush concept, I like it. It's going to take me a while to rank up and get better, but that's the fun part and the challenge.

I still need to understand it all a little more, such as what all the gadgets do and how a squad works, but it will be fun.

I also signed in to the battlelog web site and it is cool to see your stats there (gives me something to look at during the work day).

I have yet to play multi on the 360 - only did the campaign on the console. Been having fun on the PC multiplayer though.

My Battlelog is PrazVT if anyone else is playing on PC. Should be the same for 360 too.

So far I am loving this so much more than COD BO. Getting on a server, staying on the server without losing connection seems to be the main issue I am having. Once you get on the server though and get going it is a blast. So far I have driven the tanks, apc, humvee, little bird and so on. I did notice that having a gunner in the tank with you is a must imo. If not the other team will rocket you to death pretty quickly. A tip I will give the COD BO run and gunners......don't do it unless you like to die over and over and over and over. Snipers in this game will own you. And if you see a REALLY bright light it's not heaven you are seeing, it's a tactical light and you better shoot or you will see the light, lol. Off to play a little more in a few.
    Everything matters. That is all.
Money cannot buy happiness, but it sure can buy a bad **** boat to pull up along side it though.

So I have been playing the multi-player some more and it is fantastic. I found myself playing the Engineer class the most and then the Recon. I have not played much as the other two yet. I enjoy using the tanks, therefore I think that's why I use the Engineer class, as I can get out and fix the thing when it gets disabled. I'm also going to try and get a kill with my repair torch, instead of knifing someone.

Can someone explain a little more to me about how the squads work? I've joined one or two during some games and I can see each person in the squad, but after this it just seems no different. I guess I'm suppose to stay with the squad and/or follow orders, but the game is so busy and chaotic that does not seem feasible most of the time.

Anyway, really enjoying the game so far. Uncharted 3 was shipped to me today so now I need to find time for both...

The point of the squad is that it allows you people to spawn on when you die. So like if your squad is taking a flag in conquest etc that you can spawn quickly on them and help them out to take the objective. I normally play with 3 other guys so we all get in the same squad and then communicate what we are doing and where we are going. Also if they jump in a vechile I can jump right in with them when I spawn so I'm not stuck running into the field and going forever.

Love this game however and think its so much better than the COD games. I mostly play conquest and rush so there is more to do than run and gun. Also working together as a squad we do a eng, med, etc so that way we can heal each other and then also jump in a tank and repair etc. I'm mostly either a recon when needed or a eng. So far so good with the game. Only thing is when it got started up the other day with not finding a server and EA being down.

That sucked. But I'm a level 8 or 9 already and will probably be a 12 or so by the end of this week if I can play as much as I want.

This always happens with the gaming companies, nothing new to play then all of a sudden the markets flooded with new titles
