Praz, are you still getting it on xbox and PC?

After playing it for a few days, I'm pretty excited for it to release. The game play is a nice change of pace from COD.

Yup - I'm still getting it for both the PC and 360. I realized how much I missed the massive 64 player maps this weekend, so I'm pretty sure conquest will be more fun on PC.

If you guys are playing on 360 though, I'll keep that one around too. And then there's MW3 ...

Spliff and I played some BF:BC2 last night. I still love that game even if I suck at it. Kovster, you need to get your EA login fixed so you can join us. I should be on playing again tonight.

Yes, good gaming Zeros. Sorry I was playing so poorly, I had a splitting headache and was trying to listen to Cardinals/Brewers game at same time, lol:neutral:. Not to mention I kept jumping over walls and trying to dive prone into the bushes like in the BC3 demo... But I'll be back on tonight, running and gunning, camping and scrapping. Hopefully around 10:30cst

I still love BF:BC2. I will be playing that until BC3 comes out almost exclusively trying to keep the BF "feel". It is completely different than CoD, RdR, or MoH.

I'll definitely pick up MW3 as well, But my main focus will be BC3 for quite a while. With Oct. 25, and Nov. 8 release dates, seems as thought my vacation from Oct 30th-Nov 7th was well timed...

Ha nice :) Alas, I signed up for a project management class that starts 10/27 so that may cut into my play time. Eh.

My only problem with these games being released is they come out around the same time hunting season starts, you guys may see me on very little until after hunting season is over.

I tried it again tonight (even trying battlefield 1943) and it still says I failed to connect to EA. I have no idea why considering I've been playing the beta with no problems. Maybe deleting the beta from my HDD caused a problem I have no clue.

It's not working for me either since the Beta ended. Fortunately every other BF game I have is through Steam.

Yeah once I realized the beta ended, I installed Battlefield 2 and played a little last night. Was surprised by how many people still play this game.

Ok, I stand corrected. It's going to look and play well on the consoles. Check out this video of PS3 footage. If you don't want to watch the whole thing, skip to the last half with the tank.

Well, I got it to work. When I read up online what was wrong, it says I should unplug my router for a minute or two and then plug it back in, which I tried with success. It seems to be a pretty common problem apparently, but not a biggie if you know what the problem is.

Anyways, after going back to BC2 and can now compare it to BF3, I have to say BF3 wins in pretty much every way (we will see when vehicles etc or added though). The controls feel much smoother in BF3, while in BC2, for example moving laterally is verry clunky IMO. Also, I think it takes way too many hits to kill someone in BC2. So if you are facing two on one, its pretty much impossible to get a double kill. Although this is still a small issue (for me at least) in BF3, its not half as bad it seems.

And though not a big deal, I hate you can't go prone in BC2. In BF3, everytime I kill someone from a far range I'll go prone to reload. But in BC2, when you shoot someone it seems you're destined to be killed since you can't go prone to defend yourself while reloading...

None of this means I'm not willing to play, where was the crew at tonight??

Did any of ya'll read the Patrick Bach(DICE) WSJ article on the BF3 game? He himself admits he's his own worst critic. When he looks at BFBC2 now he picks it apart by what he could have done better on it. And now he has a newer, better engine to work with, sounds like you guys are now seeing how good this game is going to look.

Try this fix for the no connection error on BC2 pc version (found over at EA BC2 forum) :

This fix worked for me and my brother (using Win7) , but reported not to work for everyone .
(*NOTE: make sure you look under the the "game stttings configuration settings" , NOT the game settings bin file)

Hope this helps someone . ;)

I found a fix...and it works. This has happened every since the update, and its a bug.
Go to "your documents">bfbc2 folder> gamesettings.ini ...in there you want to deleat everything after the heading
    "RecentGames="
then you want to deleat everything after "FavoriteGames="
then last but not least, everthing after "ServerFilterSettings="
also after you do this , you have to go to" file" and hit 'save"

None of this really helps since I'm on the 360. It now lets me log on to BF2 but instead of just saying unable to connect to EA, it lets me select what game I want to play (squad, rush, etc) but after I select it, it loads and goes back to the same screen. I have no idea whats going on but its pissing me off.

I can't wait. Was playing some BF2 yesterday and forgot how much I love this over COD. If my gf hasn't broken up with me by the end of the week then I guess she's a keeper seeing all I'm going to do is play.

Newegg should be delivering it to me tomorrow afternoon but we'll see how well that goes.
It'll end up sitting unplayed on the shelf just like Rage (unopened, had on release date) and GoW3. I need more time!!!

I'll have mine tomorrow (PS3). I'm looking forward to the single player campaign. I'll also jump on multi-player to provide people with target practice.

Getting Uncharted 3 next week as well. I have not really been playing many games in the last year or so, these will be a little reward to myself for now.

I've waiting this long for it so it won't hurt to pick it up when I get off work tomorrow. I'm interested to see what type of free goodies I can get from our vendor, every new game release I've been able to snag something extra.

Played a few missions in the campaign (PC) for a bit tonight. Played a few rounds on multiplayer (conquest) and it was pretty fun. They fixed the flight stick issues, so the few min I was flying it seemed to be ok. still need to fix the other buttons ..but so far pretty happy w/ the game. I think there are a few times where I shot up someone and they still killed me ...that's a bit annoying, but didn't happen too much. I think my 360 copy should come in the mail.
