That video is EXCEPTIONAL !!!

It parallels (and parodies) everything I have learned listening to my wife's teacher friends. The students ALWAYS rank somewhere around 5th or 6th on the list of importance.

Please forward a link to every union teacher you know.

    This sums it up nicely...
Showed it to my wife, who is a community college teacher. She said it doesn't make any sense; that its ranting without factual information. That was the same impression I had: no information.

Can we help the fault line along? There are a few that would be warned ahead of time...*big splash*
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.

Both those videos lack real content, and focus on an appeal to emotions, which is quite frankly more than enough for most people. What useful or otherwise important facts do we learn from either? We don't.

We live in a country where an inordinate number of laypeople believe climate change is a hoax, even though approximately 97% to 99.5% of climate researchers (depending on what cut-off is used to define a researcher) acknowledge that it is a fact.

    What a pathetic argument.

WRONG. EPIC FAIL . . . 100% of the people understand "climate change" is a natural occurrence.

What the "inordinate number of laypeople" believe is that MAN INDUCED global WARMING is a hoax.

Just recall there were no SUV's roaming the planet the last "warm up" cycle when the ice age ended. Did a few thousand caveman campfires cause it ???

Interesting....your use of verbage. You've already said enough for anyone to see who you are.
Just for the record, nobody doubts climate change, the doubt comes in at mans contribution to it. Climate has been changing on this planet since it's creation....billions of years, and to think cow farts and emissions have more to do with it than mother nature is rediculous.
If you think the video's appeal to emotion, isn't that exactly what unions do ? And a step further, liberals in general ? Since you have a PHD, you would think ones thought process, and beliefs, is just as important as content, or at least dictates the content to some extent.

Please point me to a SINGLE reputable source that contradicts the scientific consensus, summarized by the USGCRP (http://www.usgcrp.gov/usgcrp/default.php):
Observations show that warming of the climate is unequivocal. The global warming observed over the past 50 years is due primarily to human-induced emissions of heat-trapping gases. These emissions come mainly from the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil, and gas), with important contributions from the clearing of forests, agricultural practices, and other activities.

For the purposes of this list, qualification as a scientist is reached by publication of at least one peer-reviewed article in their lifetime in a broadly construed area of "natural sciences". The article need not have been written in recent years nor be in a field relevant to climate.

That very short list is full of geologists and geographers. Now how about some actual climate scientists who publish peer-reviewed articles? Did you notice that there is not a single person from, say, NASA/JPL? Not a single person from NOAA. Not a single person from NCAR. Holy Moses.

The terminal moraine of the last Wisconsin glacier is not too far south of my home, a giant pile of rock and dirt pushed in front that 100'+ block of ice.

I don't think your peer-reviewed friends were there, but they say the Wisconsin moved south out of Canada 24,000 years ago and kept moving that direction for about 10,000 years. Then it MELTED and was COMPLETELY GONE 14,000 years ago.

That HUGE MELT left behind billions of gallons of water that formed the world's largest body of fresh water, The Great Lakes.

I think we can all agree that man wasn't around burning petrochemcals then.

How in the world do you Global Warming MORONS explain the last ice age and following MELTDOWN when man's most potent weapon was a campfire ????????

What about active volcanoes spweing acid into the atmosphere 24/7 to equal billions of tons over the years ??????

How in the world do you Global Warming MORONS explain the last ice age and following MELTDOWN when man's most potent weapon was a campfire ????????

This is all well-understood, and summarized in an IPCC FAQ:

    https://www.ipcc.unibe.ch/publications/wg1-ar4/faq/wg1_faq-6.1.html
Although it is not their primary cause, atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) also plays an important role in the ice ages. Antarctic ice core data show that CO2 concentration is low in the cold glacial times (~190 ppm), and high in the warm interglacials (~280 ppm); atmospheric CO2 follows temperature changes in Antarctica with a lag of some hundreds of years. Because the climate changes at the beginning and end of ice ages take several thousand years, most of these changes are affected by a positive CO2 feedback; that is, a small initial cooling due to the Milankovitch cycles is subsequently amplified as the CO2 concentration falls. Model simulations of ice age climate yield realistic results only if the role of CO2 is accounted for.

    Do you agree?

It is a self-regulating mechanism larger than your brain can comprehend and larger than the tools man has to measure it with. I believe the planet can basically handle anything man throws at it.

I'm also guessing we have a much higher probability of meeting our end when something huge collides with us or a volcano goes off.

If I'm wrong and we actually have the ability to cause this change, I guess the self-regulating mechanism will be that 99% of us die. The factories and evil SUV's will be gone, and the Earth will begin to "heal".

I'm sure you rejoice in these thoughts of global population reduction, so hang in there my brainy buddy.

It has become increasingly apparent over the past half-century that there is a growing tension between two seemingly irreconcilable trends. On one hand, moderate to conservative demographic projections indicate that global human numbers will almost certainly reach 9 billion, perhaps more, by mid-21st century. On the other, prudent and increasingly reliable scientific estimates suggest that the Earth?s long-term sustainable human carrying capacity, at what might be defined as an ?adequate? to ?moderately comfortable? developed-world standard of living, may not be much greater than 2 to 3 billion. It may be considerably less, particularly if the normative lifestyle (level of consumption) aspired to is anywhere close to that of the United States.

This quote is terrifying in it's objectives.... yet another PHd brainiac that seems to endorse GENOCIDE to acheive their goals of saving the planet. (there is so much more to the quote) Do they get to decide who lives and dies, or who can and cannot have children? We need to arm our children with the truth, and in this regard, the failed education system is the perfect breeding ground to push their agenda. Jcandy is nothing more than another desciple of a false belief that man(and the U.S. in particular) is evil, thus becoming the very evil he protests against. If you can align yourself with those that will use make-believe science or support a position that robs a child of a decent HONEST education just to push an agenda, that is evil.

Seek truth J, for it shall set you free. The kool-aide you have been drinking is pure poison, and it will rot you from the inside out.
