    Thanks for the bump.

The amps are safely boxed and ready for the trip to California. Sadly, they will need to wait a bit while I get settled in at my new digs.

LOL, John we all know its not due to actually getting settled  but because of your roadtrip shortly after moving to pick up some SRT's

John, so when is the GTG in California so that folks on the West Coast can see your beautiful amps in person?

LOL, bizimcopluk in #245 is "thank you share" all posts. What a spammer - even spamming George Grand vinyls thread.

so here is a bit of an update.

Tonight I recieved the updated schematics from Bob, and I have ordered the remaining parts to complete the build. I have also elected to take a couple steps backwards and start the internals from scratch, including better tube sockets, and so far, thanks to the correct information, updated pics and some tagboard plots that I have put together, the internal work is going much smoother than before.

Bob and I will be meeting the first week of August now and they will be singing in no time.

Just for you Rabbit! Thanks for asking.

Things are as always... behind schedule and over budget, but they are coming together nicely. Both chassis will be completed by the middle of next week, minus transformers. Those will be installed when I see Bob. Here are a few more internal shots of the amp that is on the bench tonight. The other is identical in all respects and at about the same point in the build. I will post some more pics of the pair soon, as I have a couple more cosmetic pieces that are still being fit.

Thanks!.. I am mounting the side panels today. Next week, the granite will be sent out for some touch-up work and have a few holes made larger, then it will also be mounted. I still have a couple things to do inside the cases, then they will be ready for the transformers.

Well guys... it's now crunch time for this project. The transformers are here and the amps have met Bob. He is truly a great guy to hang out with. I spent a few hours with him yesterday. I was floored by his reaction to my work, and he was completely blown away by what he saw, both inside and out. I am on my way to work this morning, and don't have time to go into detail, but this picture of the man with Statement chassis #2 says it all....

Bob is certainly not much on fashion, that's for sure. But man can he build an amp!

These things are MASSIVE! They weight in at 28 pounds per pair. They barely fit within the cover. Stunning work on Bob's part. 45 days to making sweet music.:afro

The next set or two I build will be sold, and there may at some point be a karma pair offered up, but first these need to sing. I will be mounting the first pair of transformers this weekend after I have the stand-offs made for the output transformer.

    D*%n John,

You'll have every member of Club Polk enter along with every employee of Polk audio and even the Man himself!

I guess you'll have to ask for cost+ shipping unless you hit the California lottery and haven't said so.

I'm glad Bob Carver is leaving the 400 WPC tube amps to you and his colaborations!

    Lookin good.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Thanks again guys. The transformers have been mouted on standoff that support all the weight above the granite. I will post some pics tommorow. Final wiring will begin next week, and final checks/packaging will be done the last week in October. I am guessing a one month turnaround and they will be home playing sweet music. Hopefully the LSiM 703's will arrive soon for demo as well.

My homw will be open for all to drop in and hear them any time.
