    OHHHH, those look nice

Never heard a pair so I can't comment on how they sound. Alot of people dig'em for 2-channel and several run them with their HT rig.

Personally though, I think I'd rather chase the SDA effect. After having 1C's, I loved that wrap around SDA effect.

Eh lol...only bring it if Doug finds a Sony (which will mean he'll pass on mine).

The Paradigms I have are below the Studio line, they're older Phantoms...but damn are they musical!

Yeah I remember that, because you're using the Adcom right?

You'd need the A-1 transformer since the amp is not common ground. When I get there, we'll use another one of your amps (that IS common ground) and we'll play around with placement so you can hear what I'm talking about ;)

Can the negatives be strapped like other Adcom units? The 2.3tl's can image and reproduce alot of detail with some good gear running behind it so you should at least have that going for you. You're really missing out by not getting the SDA effect, just wait til I get there!

Mole' let me think about it. I don't even know what they are worth. They would timbre match the 2.3's nicely though.

BTW, Doug, how many steps up to your house are we talking about?

I'm planning on bringing basically my entire 2-channel system from top to bottom, with the exception of my tuner and FM antenna (with the intention of finding the weakest link). Those Lsi9s, though a bookshelf speaker, aren't exactly light. Anyway, I hope I can count on a few others for some help up the stairs.

They're not too bad. Just carried the RTA15's in the other day and it really isn't bad. Not like going up narrow apartment steps or anything. Plus there will be plenty of help on hand to carry gear in. :D

Cool. Let's hope you don't find one so you can buy mine from me lol otherwise I'll end up giving this thing to Eric and buying his AVR off of him!

Well, I didn't find one so it looks like I'll be taking yours if you still want to sell it.

Fix'em up, and if no one's interested at the meet turn them around to audiogon. I'd hate to see the look on the guy's face whom you bought them when he sees them priced for more on CL haha

I did buy them to turn a profit on them so I can fund other purchases. Kinda feels weird trying to make a quick buck off of other forum members though. My guess is that the RTA's are worth more in the $400 range but I honestly don't know. I'd probably throw them out on Craigslist for $450 and see what kind of offers I got.

The guy didn't know what he had. He even told me he couldn't find a model number and pointed to the barcode on the back that clearly says RTA-15TL.

I might most likely since I have absolutely no HT setup lol

Far as I know, you've got first dibs and if you pass on to Eric it goes. I'm kind of hoping his Onkyo sells before the gathering.....I need to maintain focus and that focus is on my car's audio and performance :D

Just picked up the next thing that's going in there today. It's been X-mas everyday for me for the past 4 days ;)

    Damn!!! Nice cans!! :D

And speaking on cans ;), anyone interested in a pair of HSU TN-1225's?? I was gonna list them in the classfied section but figured i'd ask you guys first. They're old and a little beat up but they still function just fine. Also, these are passive so you'll need an external amp to drive them. How's a GTG discounted rate of $100 for the pair sound? :D

You need to quit selling stuff Eric :p

Btw, I can vouch for HSU's drivers. I used one from the VTF2 or 3 (the discontinued $1k sub) and built my own sub that reached 18hz and pressurized the hell out of my living room.

The 3's are amazing IC's. Haven't heard the speaker wire version but I bet they perform admirably.

I'd only get the 3.3's simply because they're newer :p but if I had to save money I'd get more of the 3's if I needed any.
