Yeah, that would be a great as a substitute for a steak if its not too much trouble. If its trouble, I can just go with a baked potato.

(Now that this thread is back on track ;)... not knowing anything about cars, I was lost there for a while)

Doug: in addition to green salad, I'll be bringing a dessert item

My wife has offered to bake either banana bread, cinnamon apple cupcakes, lemon-almond cupcakes, coffee cupcakes, or chocolate brownies. If anybody has an interest in any of these in particular, let me know. Whatever it is, it will be made from scratch.

    Banned?

You can't have a party with teh KAWI :p

Plus you'll need another person out there to steer the conversation away from audio! Blame Mole' for that!

I'll wait until we're closer to the actual date to bring anything. It'd be about an 8hour drive and I'd hate to bring perishable food and risk it going bad

Just let me know if you guys need anything specifically (food/drink-wise)

Yeah, but if you've got floorspace/couches and you don't mind, I'll just crash out there.

Haven't had any alcohol in several months really (other than that camping trip) so it's no big deal not drinking.

Too bad it'll take another year or so for me to finish my car audio upgrades+tuning. Would've been nice to show it off a bit, I'm chasing sound quality in my car...not SPL :p

Like I said, you guys want me to bring anything specific let me know!

I like beer, and I'll bring beer, and some snacks that I can dig up locally. The drive from LA to SD is a little far for perishables.

I don't mind grabbing something but we weren't going to be carpooling as far as I know. Mole's bringing his 2.3tl's so I don't think there will be room for me+my cousin. We'll leave his house at the same time though and I'll be helping him out load/unload the 2.3's and whatever else he decides to bring :)

LOL Those are nice. See if I got into this hobby as seriously as I did just last year I would've done the same but last year I wasn't in CA. Just driving through Chicago alone is a PITA and adds hours on top of whatever else you've gotta drive to your destination.

He may be bringing the 1C's, SRS's and 1.2TL's if he and I can win that auction.:p

Freddy, no worries on the food. Bring what you're comfortable with. Snacks are always a good thing too. Pretzels, etc. to keep us going until the steaks are done.

Who else purchased the Sony BDP-1000ES bluray player that was posted on another thread (that's going to the gathering)?

I bought one today simply because they had one lol (thank Mole' for that).

Anyway, they had 2 left and after some talk...the guy next to me bought the second one. Well, what's so great about it? It's nice to see that it has networking/internal memory/decoding and such but what else?

I don't plan on using it until I get a receiver so it'll sit BNIB unless you guys want me to bring it so we can compare it as a dedicated CDP. Let me know guys!
