American Pie - Drove my Chevy to the Levy but the Levy was Dry
October 2 1945 is Don McLean's birthday! Here he is performing the full version of his classic 1971 smash hit "American Pie" live on CabaRay Nashville. This CabaRay Nashville performance was originally recorded and broadcast in January 2018.

Because it is a fan favorite, host Ray Stevens and McLean's official pages re-share the video clip every year on October 2nd to celebrate his birthday as it was done on Friday of last week.
