    Had to look up "Furphies".

    I worked for a Plumbing and drain cleaning Co. for 7 years.

    I've seen some stuff similar to those videos and ALOT more. This Co. had pressure hose power 50 times that little homeowner thing he was using. The big pressure cleaner was mounted in a box-truck, with it's own water tank that was filled by a fire-hydrant. the nozzle pressure, like that in the videos above would slice through skin like butter. In those seven years, nobody got hurt. You RESPECT the nozzle!

    It was an experience everybody should see, like a Police ride-along.

    7 years seeing that happen off and on. I did mostly carpentry but if none was to be done, I was beside the owner and others doing major drain cleaning and water heater replacements. A lot of commercial pipe cleaning too.

    • Why pressure jetting is restricted: Using a high-pressure water jet system to flush out structural sewer or stormwater lines falls squarely under trade drainage maintenance. Doing this commercially without a WA Plumbers Licensing Board licence carries severe legal penalties and voids the homeowner’s insurance if a pipe is damaged.

    The standard pressure washers (hydro-jetters) used by professional plumbers for blasting out domestic and commercial drains in Australia are typically operating in the 3,500 to 5,000 PSI range.

    Don't be fooled by that little jet, Tissue and Bone Destruction: A direct blast at close range acts like a kinetic hammer. It can instantly shred flesh, strip muscles away from the bone, and shatter small bones in the hand

    The pressures that you used(50 times more) would cut our upvc ,earthenware and steel pipes in half... 200 000 psi is allot.......scary stuff.

    I seen a painter look into a blocked spray gun and squeeze that trigger = stimpy, he shot a lump of paint into his tongue and his heart stopped 3 times on the way to hospital.A CPR day.
