Last week, I drove 9 miles from my house to Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield Park to see the display of the 2,977 Flags for the September 11 event. The display of the flags was so massive, it was difficult to grasp the whole picture from the ground. None of the pictures nor videos that I made captured the moment.
Today, on Facebook, this video shows the flags from a drone. Unbelievable and moving!

I've buried the rail many, many times at the helm. It's a rush and there's a bit more effort involved than shown in the movie.
I had to take control once for 45 minutes in 40 knot winds while the auto pilot was disconnected ,Traveling at 17 knots with a fully laden cat was pushing its limits...... We were going past Mnt Pico . Exhausted me physically and mentally ,it was my first "real sailing experience"! It certainly opened my eyes to how easy we have it now days. -

Mesmerizing Water
That first contact with the strong breeze, boat heeling, rail going toward the water, adjusting course to the "lift" or "header" of the wind is a wonderful feeling - when the world goes quiet.
It is total presence - you can't worry about life's troubles when you are perfectly dialed into the wind.

We were down to the third reef.
We sailed across the Atlantic within 100-200 mtrs of each other depending on weather conditions ,which also gave us our pictures. Yacht "Scorpio"Always have your sail up even when motoring along as the ship under sail has right of way! 3days motoring through this high pressure system.
There was so much rubbish out there ,its unbelievable ,from Mcdonald foam wrap box's , full trees, milk crates ,we also found a old glass fishing float .
Spooky when the horizon disappears into its reflection.
