Tonight, she asked, "Can you turn it up?"
    "Yes...yes, I can."

I thought it was usually women who couldn't let things go and keep rehashing the subject years later?

I did not bring this thread back from the dead. Somebody else beat me to it.

Good gracious, I am the OP of this thread, so I'm entitled to make a new comment. Frankly, I don't understand all of the auxiliary comments.

    Jody,
You did no wrong. Trey's and my comment were regarding the quote from one of the few women who come to this forum, and that was four years late. Otherwise, there is no issue in resurrecting an old thread. I thought your comment was amusing. My ex usually listened louder than I did.

My wife just asked me why there’s music coming from the basement when I was upstairs. I explained that I had new Nos tubes that needed to heat up and break in. I explained why and she said ok. She is very polite!👍😂

Yeah, not sure how funny, almost backfired. My ex didn't care for bass much less heavy bass. She put up with my Epik Empire. I told her I was ordering another one. When it showed, she asked, Why did you get that???? I replied, I told you I was getting it, she looked at me and said, I thought you were kidding!!

Fast forward to a time when I was experimenting with set up. Called her down for a demo. I cued an LF scene. I asked, did you fell that?? She said, yes, so?!

I told her, That was just the A9's, I took the subs out for that scene. Without hesitation she asked, So, why do we need the subs again????

Talk about a tap dance and lots of BS flowing to cover my tracks as she said, uhhh huuuh.

Funny things she said about audio? The best one would probably be "yes if that's what you want" concerning a pair of 1.2tls for sale by a member here. It was Dec. 26 2011 and Christmas had just drained my wallet as usual, I was recently laid off for the winter (unemployment hadn't kicked in yet) and the 1.2's were several states away. I was apprehensive at best but determined to not let them slip away. That trip turned out well and became one of my better all time audio decisions.

I explained to my wife that "streaming is the future". I ordered the Lumin U2,(I blame Treitz3 & VR3's lumin reviews) and while it was in transit, I played my lovely wife some music on the Nvidia Shield TV Pro in the theatre room via YouTube—test sounds - stereo mode.

Her jaw dropped, and she was completely amazed >:) (hooked !). I said, "If you like what a $400 bucks can do, wait until you hear 8.3k ."She looked straight at me and asked, "You spent $8.3 k on a streamer?" I didn't break eye contact once and just said, "No," and waited patiently until she looked away. :# .......Am I going to hell?
