No one can view these anymore without an X account.
That sucks. This was a good one. Old man talks about all the advancements of things and then mentions a Prostate exam procedure.

I used to wear a pair of these when I was a toddler. My mother said I would wear holes in everything I wore in a day playing outside but not the lederhosen. She said they were industrial strength. Made of thick leather and waterproof so, according to her, if I had an accident she'd just hose them off with the garden hose. I think she still has them somewhere.Gustard X26 Pro DAC

When Destin FL was just a fishing destination
In the 1950s, Destin, Florida transitioned from a sleepy commercial fishing hamlet into the "World's Luckiest Fishing Village". Red snapper fishing was defined by pioneering charter captains, wooden and early custom motor vessels, and legendary local party boats.
Went with my father many times in the 1950's to catch Red Snapper and Black Grouper. There were a few motels but not much more. I got seasick for the only time in my life on my first trip out with my dad. I remember being on the Florida Girl.

Panama City FL was the place you went to go the beach and fishing. I don't remember going to downtown Panama City shown in this old post card ever.

Yeah, a photo that would not benefit from better quality.

It's a shame to have done that to a nice old Benz.

Come to think of it, this reminds me of a cartoon I remember seeing (many) decades ago
in Road & Track.
Showed two people looking at a lovely Bugatti Royale in a museum. One says to the other:
Imagine spoiling a lovely old car like that with those grotty modern mag wheels.
Since not all on this forum are dedicated linguists (or cunning linguists, as the case might be) -- I should probably mention that grotty was/is the British progenitor of the Valley Gurlz' grodie (to the max).
Not sure how it got from Old Blighty to the Valley, though.

speaking of the Royale -- one of the seven Ettore made was wrecked.

Lived in FL for 30 years.
Loved the black grouper, red snapper and mangrove snapper. Too of the line deep fried fish.
Only deep fried fish better than black grouper are trigger fish.
If you can ever find them try it. They rarely made it off the boat. -

Reminds me of a T-shirt a friend wore back in the day. No muff too tough, we dive 'til 5.

I've seen a lot of "muffler and tailpipe" robots and humanoid figures over the years. They were always well done too.
