Chief Joe "La Mouse" of the Bitterroot Salish (Flathead) tribe in Montana. The portrait, taken 110 years ago in the Glacier National Park by American photographer Franklin Price Knott. It was published in the National Geographic magazine in 1916 (at which point his age was stated to be over 80 years).

Chief Joe "La Mouse" shares a double-page spread in the 1916 edition of the National Geographic with the Hopi Snake Clan priest

    libsh63q0obj.png
The Salish were fond of ermine and cut the skin in strips to hang from all available parts of their clothing. The stoat, also known as the Eurasian ermine or ermine, is a species of mustelid native to Eurasia and the northern regions of North America.

Tiny, quick and quietly ferocious. Ermines are small but powerful predators. They measure around 13 to 30 cm in body length and weigh roughly 300 grams, but will not hesitate to take on a prey five times their size. Their slender bodies allow them to move quickly through burrows while hunting.

In case any of y'all missed it, KEF's apparently just released (or is poised to release) another relatively high performing yet staunchly lifestyle loudspeaker product, modestly monikered the KEF LS Luxe. :|
There's a moderately lively thread Someplace Else :# on these. A fair number of posts have focused on the design/styling of these.
    lyzf9b14umhd.png

I mention this here only because I rather liked this take on the practicality of the design:

PS Heck, it'd be a great place to park a pair of headphones, too -- wouldn't it? :p
PPS Note the straight from the Goodwill store pile of LPs carefully staged in the photo, too!

Since when does a flat stack of records need a spindle for the top exposed record? :s

The suspicious resemblance of the new KEF active loudspeaker mentioned above and the Minions was also noted.
    m9k2sakawuqs.png
    pycgigwgosel.png

Perhaps equally suspiciously, KEF is not currently offering the LS Luxe in yellow.

    Perhaps
they're waiting for a commercial tie-in with the next offering in the Minions franchise?
I am just speculating, mind you.

Snagged from Just Cool Old Cars on FB. Subaru 360 Van. Wiki says it was nicknamed the "ladybug" in Japan and says production years were 1958-1971. "As the company's first mass-produced automobile (all 360 models), production reached 392,000 over its 12-year model run."

I remember Road & Track testing a 360 (car) a long, long time ago. They described its aesthetic as like a dehydrated Volkswagen [Beetle]. :)
The Curbside Classics blog shared the road test at some point, relatively recently.

It was pretty tight fit for Americans. The motor was just short of a

Compared to what I see on FB and Insta, no, that's not weird.

Called the Katsugyo Bag, this portable aquarium was developed in Japan to transport live fish while keeping them alive with oxygen monitoring.

It was designed for both pet fish and fresh seafood and for emotional support fish.

(I don't like this idea; it hits me the wrong way. I added the last reason designed. Maybe I should have put in the "What are you cooking" thread?)

@BlueBirdMusic - Harry, that fish thing makes me feel claustrophobic! I'm not typically claustrophobic. The fish doesn't seem alarmed, however. No fearful expression or anything.

I thought that was a fancy canister vacuum at first glance.
