Interested to understand what it is.
Oh, I thought you knew? 😉
J/K
A mint condition AQ 7000, with a Brand New AQ 1.5m Dragon. It was overall more than I wanted to spend, but I got both for less than what a AQ 7000 would have cost me brand new. Don’t think I could have found a better deal for such a beast of a unit.
I’m now trying to figure out what I can do to give my shelf a little extra strength to hold the weight a little better to ease my mind. 🤓
I had a local wood worker build me a maple and walnut shelf to my specifications. Great investment, and highly recommended.Analog: Hana ML > VPI Prime Signature 21 > Bob's Devices Sky 20-S > Sutherland 20/20 w/LPS

Oops, I did mean Jaguar Audio... sorry about that. I plugged a space heater into my conditioner during the break-in period in order to get some serious amperage flowingDeleted User wrote: »Why not try one of the Puritan power products while you're at it? I don't see Puritan Audio Labs stuff on Upscale Audio's site. Did you mean Jaguar Audio?
I spoke with Darren at Jaguar yesterday. He's pretty knowledgeable about the Puritan products. He really stressed the 100 hour break-in that is recommended on their (Jaguar's) website. Said that is primarily for the power cable. I should have clarified if that was from the time it is first plugged in (~4 days) or if it is total listening time, which might be butting up against their 45-day trial period.
The "NFR" version is the one with the upgraded Furutech sockets (sans dust covers) and includes the upgraded power cable and Furutech connectors on it, but man, they really get a premium for that. $7,500 vs. $2,700 for the base PSM156.

92 lbs. ?
DANG!!!!!!
Now put that thing in your right arm (stabilized with your left hand) and carry it about 30 ft., up 3 steps, and then another 15 ft.
That's what I stupidly did to get my 100 lb. front door from my truck to inside my home. I should've waited for my wife to get back from Florida before buying it.
But 92 lbs. in a dense BLOCK is worse than what I dealt with.
That Niagara has a lot of GUTS!
Congrats!

Speed and articulation has definitely improved. Attack and cymbal decay is much improved...

That’s awesome @Toolfan66. As I’ve said throughout this thread it’s a great piece of equipment. But as you evaluate the purchase do consider the power cable you added at the same time. That is AQs TOL cable. If you have another 20-amp cable you might exchange them to understand how it plays into the mix.
Again, I predict more power cables in your future.

I think that Dragon power cord may be more expensive than the Niagara 7000 if both were to be bought new.

I remember the Niagara 7000 was around $8K new when it was introduced about a decade ago. New price is way up since then. I don't think they've changed anything inside it. -

I'm seeing $11,500 on the Audioquest website for a genuine made to order Dragon 2 meter power cord, so yes lower than the retail on the 7000 by a bit. The 1 meter looks to be considerably less.

The Dragon I got was brand new 1.5m, he wrapped it up in the deal to push me over the edge. It is definitely the most expensive cable in my herd..
You’re talking over $20k if you purchase both brand new. 😳
That’s Volterra II territory.

Is it possible that the Shunyata is helping the signal exert more control over the speakers? I swear thing are hitting harder and faster than before. I am hearing things even in metal music I have not heard before and the speakers seem to have a lot more punch to them. The L800's hit deeper and faster than before. Todd, Just came across this pic, you have had yours for a few years now..
Nice Setup..
Those are actually Skips demos that he let me borrow while mine were being built and shipped. I had those for 4-6 months. That is also with the Niagara 5000/Hurricane prior to the 7000/Dragon.
Here is the most recent setup.

They appear to be a WAY Substance power cords.
