I hope surgery goes well. Easy for me to say, but health first and worry about the other stuff later.

diverticulitis huh....well that's better than the C word for sure. I'm just surprised they didn't catch that sooner as I know this isn't your first go round with problems down yander. Seems to be a more and more common problem these days. You got this John, but use it as an eye opener to change some things. Prayers for a successful surgery/recovery/continued happy life.

  • Hope your surgery went well. I have diverticulitis myself but even so I can barely imagine how hard this has been on you and your family. I hope you all fare well as you work to heal up.

He called me today. The surgery went well and he is in a lot of pain but he has already been up and walking. He's lucky he went in when he did or he may not have been with us anymore.

Time to drag this back out… tomorrow begins the workups for the surgery to put my septic system back together. I will have consults with cardio, general surgeon, urology, and colonoscopies done. Then I will be meeting again with the surgeon doing the reassembly of my colon. He feels that the surgery will take place during the first half of July. Three procedures will be done at the same time, and will take 7 to 9 hours to complete, followed by 7 to ten days in the hospital for recovery and to ensure the plumbing work holds up without complications.

Hoping and praying everything goes well for you as it sounds like a very involved process to get your "septic system" running properly. A very important function in life that we all take for granted until it stops working.
