A few weeks ago, work took me to our Ely Nevada store. Heading west on I80 out of Salt Lake, one turns south on 93 in Wendover to get to Ely. About half way between Wendover and Ely is a small abandoned motel that was once the Schellbourne Station (named after an actual stop on the Pony Express route).
The sheer remoteness of the ruins have left them in rather good shape, and I couldn’t resist going back for a photo session. I find abandoned places like this quite intriguing for photography… here are a few of the shots I took that day.
