I'm not a country music fan and I never found Newhart to be even close to funny.

That is such a shame, Jesse, as you are missing out on such great Country Classics, like this gem...

I'm pretty sure I wore that same shirt for my second grade class picture in 1978...

I wore that same toupee with my Halloween costume in 1978.

    And also in 1979.

    And in 1981, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1993, 1999, 2001, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2015, and 2021.

    a photograph out of context...

    yfsjoghhxam2.png

Maybe they're arresting these guys for selling Edsels?

Or maybe it's just context for the rise of the compacts in the US ca.1960 B) -- of which the weirdest was Mopar's Valiant.

    https://www.curbsideclassic.com/uncategorized/curbside-classic-1961-valiant-follow-the-leader-the-dilemmas-of-art-vs-commerce/

I did not know that Valiant originally launched as a brand a la... well... Edsel... or Saturn, or (more recently) Hummer or Ram or (heh-heh-heh) Bronco and Mustang. :#

Those are the town's new cop cars. Doubt they have cop motors though.

Although I have two feeders for them in my back yard there's never more than one sitting feeding. They never allow more than one at a feeder at a time. I'll have several staging on the fence or tree but coming to the feeder before the other one is done and flies away causes a mid-air sword fight. If one scoots in while they battle then there's more battles.

Right now they are feeding heavy for the long flight to the winter grounds

I have a feeder like the one in the photo that I picked up in the spring to try. I couldn't get any hummingbirds, only ants and wasps that couldn't reach.

    Wrong place?

Nah. I've had my eye on them as well as Salk Silk monitors for a long time. These are something I could more realistically get. Did a used pair come up? How much did they sell for?

Yeah there was a pair that popped up today on TMR and promptly sold. $1,600ish plus $60ish shipping IIRC. Not that much less than the $1,900 MSRP.

DSOTM must be the ALL-TIME winner of the “how many times can we bang the cash register” album… at this point, it’s getting pretty old.

If you ever buy a pair and I still haven't AND you decide not to keep them... if all of that happens to happen... dibs 😂

Salk makes some awfully purdy cabinets.
