I sold these to the current owner/seller, pretty much did the full monty on the upgrades. I bought them from the original owners and they are as clean a pair as you will ever find, even sport the original shipping cartons.

Small world Mike. I already have 1C's that I really enjoy. -
If I was close I might just buy those to say I did. They look really nice.

I often kick myself in the rear end for selling them, they were near mint in condition and sounded very good after all the mods. I just preferred the presentation of the 3.1TL's by a small margin, and only had so much room to store speakers.

I don’t do Facebook so I had the wife message the guy selling the 2b’s...we’ll see what happens
-
Saw those too. Won't really know what you've got until you get eyes on them. That one picture makes them look like a project I have no desire to tackle. Could be a deal...

Looks like a good Winter Project. I'm listening to some 3.1TL's that were soo rough when I got them, I had to not only replace the cloth, I also had to replace the grill frames and the side panels because they were so stained with pet urine.
Replaced the top and bottom caps as they were beat to crap as well. Amazingly the front bezel and backs, including all the drivers were in excellent condition, the only reason I bought them
They have turned out to be some of the best pair of SDA's I've had over the years.

My 2b's were a basket case as well. A challenge it is to fix up some of these old, abused speakers. One I love to tackle. Ones man's junk is.....
-
This was a freebie set 2b studios that I was given. Thought for sure I would part them out when I first saw them. A couple hours later I changed my mind.
-
Those cleaned up nice.

These are at the daughter's house in the basement.
She told me tonight she has an open spot for my R200's next

Sounds like my house. My teen daughter started asking for my R200s as soon as she saw them. Needless to say they are now in her room. I am so happy that she enjoys good music that I have no problem setting her up.These are at the daughter's house in the basement.
