    Sweet!
I was listening to GU Nick Warren - Brazil last night.
Caleb, we have tons of electronic between me and Drew. Do you have a way to play digital files thru your system?

Sweet, I have not listened to that one for a long time. I have a hard drive full of electronic music, but most of it is 320k and under. Not great for a good stereo. I have sone Sasha, Nick Warren and John Digweed in FLAC, but that's about it for HQ stuff.

Just finished watching this. Very impressive recording! Not really my cup of tea but when my daughter and her friend came running out of their room yelling "OMG!" I figured I'd better listen to the whole thing (as a family of course...)

I went through this whole thread a few weeks ago, but I don't recall seeing this one...

Lou Reed - Walk On The Wild Side

I waited to post, because I wanted to make sure of what I remember from over 20 years ago when I last heard my 1As. After getting them working again, I can confirm that this is one of the best SDA tracks out there. I use it to demonstrate SDA to people and to freak out my friends.

When the colored girls go, "Doo da-doo, doo da-doo, doo-da-doo ..." They walk up from way behind the speakers to in front of the speaker, whereas on regular speakers, they are in the same position and just get louder.

I don't know if this is because the tweeters are in the SDA circuit. I would have expected others to comment on it, so I'm wondering if it is unique to pre-third generation SDAs.

Can anyone reproduce this? I've heard it in 2 different rooms. I've had rooms where I didn't hear it too, if the speakers are too close together and you're not far enough back.

    No thc required. :)

  • I've been a lurker and recently registered. I wanted to thank everyone for the awesome recommendations here! I have a youtube playlist for cataloging songs I enjoy with the SDA effect. Here's a couple that are pretty good:

    The C90s - Shine a Light
    Foreigner - Say you Will

I'll have to sit down and listen so I can pick out the more impressive ones, but these work well.

Funny that Paul Young No Parlez was listed on the front page because “Tear Your Playhouse Down” from his The Secret of Association was my very first demo of the original Signature SRSes at Sheffield Audio here in Houston. Absolutely mind blowing. I kept looking behind me to try and find the rear speakers. Needless to say I’ve lusted after a pair of these ever since, and I’m so happy to finally own a pair of the flagships. Man, I miss that place along with B&M Audio and Home Entertainment. I spent way too much time and money in those places when I should have been paying for and attending more classes.
