Seen this week. Still working 1952 Hotpoint electric water heater. Crazy!
-
^^^^did you pin your Geiger Counter next to that thing?Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!!
-
^^^^ never thought of that! My brother has one, but he's in Maryland. It also has a well, but has been on city water for probably 60 years. Owner knew nothing about this old disconnected well in the basement.

Probably cost that much a month to use it -
I thought this owl's camouflage was pretty cool...

Tom
That's a great grey owl. If memory serves, it's the largest North American owl (at least continental US).
We had one nearby in Hanover, NH a few years back -- Mrs. H and a friend tromped through a swamp at dusk on a chilly fall evening (I think it was 2014) to see it -- which they did.
Usually they're in MN and WI.

As seen Someplace Else on the internet.

In case it's not obvious, that's a Schiit Loki equalizer/tone control thingy.
The only thing missing is some clip leads.

From Facebook. "Splendid Fairywren (Malurus splendens) in Australia by Terry Booth." -
Whoa.
Imma ask Mrs. H if she saw one of those when she was birding in Australia some years back. She's on the phone at the moment, tho'.
-
It looks different, bigger in these images.

Heh, I texted Mrs. H (she's still on the phone) & asked if she saw one. Her reply.I believe so
?!
-
So -- Mrs. H just went back and checked her records. She saw a superb fairywren, but not a splendid fairywren. Apparently, she'd have had to have gone (how's that for a tense?) further inland to see the splendid one.

not her photo -- source: https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superb_fairy-wren#/media/File:Male_and_female_superb_fairy_wren.jpg
Superb, but not nearly as splendid.

To go with the mushrooms. All mushrooms are poisonous to me as I am extremely allergic to them.
Steaks are advertised at Costco.

The left top three could be, The Early Spring False Morel (Verpa Bohemica).
See this; https://blog.freshcapmushrooms.com/learn/false-morels/
They do not advise consumption. Apparently a debated topic.
I would not eat them, even with lots of butter and beer, Sam I am.
The others look great. -

-
Those 3 in the top left are half free morels (Morchella Punctipes), called peckerheads.
The stem is connected to the cap half way up.
The Verpas have a pithy stem and the stem is connected at the very top of the cap.

LOL! Not to worry. They don't kill you right away. The toxin in them is cumulative (in the liver). Like an aneurysm, just one day... POW complete liver failure! Gotta go somehow, right?Gustard X26 Pro DAC
