    What can I say? I’m not a reviewer. I don’t think I have the golden ears to tell you why I like them other than I really do.

    I’ve found my nirvana and truly enjoy them. Going back to my LSiM 707 Marantz PM-10 just sounds flat.

    Vibration isolation is so important! When I heard these speakers in the Polk room at the New York Audio Show, the bass from outside in the hall sounded so muddy I almost didn't want to enter! I'm surprised that so few people with high end syhstems have gotten on board with this. I believe Townshend Audio has it right with their SUPER expensive platforms they manufacture. I have a DIY version under my speakers, and subwoofer of my own design.

    Actually, he did review the sound. He said they sounded great and he liked them a lot. That's all that mattered to him. I appreciate the fact that they sounded great to him. That's all I needed to know.

    Coupled with spikes on carpet brings me harder hitting bass and more midrange detail, or at least better sounding midrange. But people with bouncy floors seem to have better results with uncoupling. I'm talking about the kind of spikes that penetrate the carpet and padding and make contact with the floor beneath, not the plastic rounded tip kind. My stands feel like they're nailed to the floor, my RTi8s do not with the original spikes that lay on top the carpet.

    Adding those things creates a spongy floor.

    SVS sells thick rubber subwoofer isolation feet for their subwoofers that work splendidly to isolate the subwoofer from the floor and prevent excessive physical reaction with the flooring and walls. Cleans up the bass really well.

    Not sure I'd want rubber things under my main speakers, but experimenting is fun.

    LOL. No, that was a basic question of an audio tweak. It either made a difference, or it didn’t. If it did then how did it change. This is an audio forum, not a furniture forum.

    It made the listening experience much more pleasant. When I listen at night I only have an 18” fluorescent light on in the kitchen. The lights on the amps are like car headlights coming at me. After covering them the listening experience became much more pleasant. So, the music sounds better. Much better. :)
