Her singing can reduce me to tears; listen to her soar as she pines "Calling all angels" near the end of the Wailin Jennys version of Jane Siberry's Calling All Angels on Live at Mauch Chunk Opera House. I am getting chills just typing this.
Ahem on topic -- the aforementioned Jennys' album sounds really good, too. Your hifi will thank you for playing it.
Never knew Chris Stapleton until I heard him on the speakers at a bar while I was eating pizza. I heard something about "Tenesssee Whisky and Strawberry wine", so I looked it up on the phone while I was there 'cuz I really dug the song....or what I could hear of it. Daggum place was noisy!
Went home and played all CS songs on Tidal and got to liking his style and voice. Liked him so much, I bought three of his albums right off the bat. Glad I did.
Tom
Thanks for sharing. I did not hear about Chris Stapleton either till I saw your post. And like you, I really liked his voice and music.

Today I changed up my main system. Moved it to a different wall, swapped the passive pre for a 6H30 class A linestage, setup only the Clearaudio table with the EAR 834P and the Auralic Altair music server. Makes for a cleaner system. Dialed in the subs and life is good.

Mounted the TT to the wall, finally! Took some time to get it level.
With the monitor in place I can manage audio on the hard drive connected to the Oppo and more easily manage SACD/DVD-A. It was just a guessing game with those previously.

No pics yet but I reconfigured my rack, moved the amps to the floor, added 2 SVS SB12-NSD subs, got a shorter Wireworld USB cable, shorter Wireworld XLR interconnects and swapped out the Denon DVD2900 for an Arcam DV79 for spinning CDs.
Also played around with some more placement options with the Silverlines and I found the bass they had at LSAF this year. Being rear ported, they needed to be considerably closer to the rear walls than I originally thought.

Fabricated some new, larger gauge, shorter ribbon speaker cables (4N copper, 14 gauge, 5 ft long). Even better detail and imaging and the bass is tighter and punchier. I'm thinking of selling these in the future but don't know for sure if people want to pay less for cables that might not be quite as good eye candy-wise, but with as good or better performance than commercially made ones.
Snapped some quick pics. @lightman1 can attest to the drastic improvements in bass response, imaging, and soundstage I was able to attain just with no toe-in, 7 inches closer to the back wall and the addition of the 2 SVS SB12-NSD subs. Outside of maybe one more change to the disc spinner, I am fairly certain I am at the end game for my office.

Playing around with pieces for garage rig. The Pioneer SX- N30 was in the living room, now replaced by the Peachtree. So what to do with this guy? Well it turns out it can be used as a pre-amp! Hooked up to the CJ amp right now, doing some testing. Running the 1C’s. Well I’m liking @joecoulson Linn mono’s even more as they can be turned on automatically when detecting a signal. I need a remote for the garage rig as I don’t want to be walking back and forth navigating through my junk to the back wall turning every thing on/off. Lazy, yes!

I know those JBL low frequency drivers sound nice. I've been using mine as subwoofers, the original owner had a stereo salon build him custom sub enclosures to JBL specs, back in the late 80's or early 90's I guess, They were pretty dang seamless when I was using them as a pair of subs. I even had Gary Dodd modify my Dodd preamp with an active subwoofer crossover in it, the only one he ever did he told me. Pretty much real estate hogged up when using them that way as they are huge enclosures, however, as opposed to incorporating them into something like Wardsweb has done.

HA. Gotta love that man. I have a 1 of 1 too with the MLP. Which pre do you have?

Tom, I have the battery powered adjustable gain preamp, which Gary modded right before he got really sick and died. Sonicap Platinum bypass caps and some other stuff which escapes me at the moment in addition to the active subwoofer crossover. I also have a Dodd battery powered tube phono preamp which is fantastic. And of course my ELP in storage which I will probably never part with, since it was my first.
