So I did not know this, until recently (love the internet) that my little Estes Command Copter was based off a real machine! The Hiller Hornet!
Powered by 2 small ramjet engines at the ends of the rotors! All the rage back in the 50's as it was considered to be a very simple, and low cost helicopter. But, never came to fruition.
Many variants exist, including a few developed for the military!

I built that LARGE red baron. That was one of my all-time favorites, along with the T-rantula and S'cool bus.
I built this one too. It's long gone BUT, I have an "original" still unbuilt one in its' box. That was also a favorite of mine.
I also built some car that was orange and had a big bubble top over the interior.
I just remembered another GREAT model I liked when it was done. It was a Crysler imperial with a TEXAS motif about it. Bull horns up front and guns for door handles. Suff like that It was super detailed. That just reminded me of the Jaguar XKE LARGE model I built. That was a special one too. Working head lights. Real working steering linkage.
Then there was the LARGE HUEY copter with sounds and turning blades too I think. That was when I built just before or after the Huey, the SUPER LARGE B52 Bomber. 4' wing-span. It had motor sound too.
I also believe I built these 2 models when I was very young. Maybe the first 2 I built.

Display. Anything you can think of they had it. Slot cars and a huge racetrack.
Rc planes and cars. Models, collectables, games. And drones.
Wife wasn't that hot on it other than the trains. She called the place messy.
