Yeah, but then a Marine like myself with hand to hand combat training would drop you in a second if you tried. ;)

Grade A trolling. Don't fall for it. We're dealing with a pro.

Thanks brothers. Yeah, not my style. I just got a bit, concerned. Parenting, as most of us know requires a steady patience. Hmm, This is interesting, look what I did for the first time! All greyed out!

Are*. Once a Marine, always a Marine. And you wouldn’t last a day in boot camp, babycakes ;).

VMFA-122, Beaufort SC, 1985-1989. MOS 6027, Powerplant Specialist, F404 turbofan for the F/A-18 Hornet. MCRD San Diego, Plt 2125...

There is no way I would ever consider you a Marine, based upon your conduct here so far. I don't care what you did in my beloved Corps. You were probably sent away with the big chicken dinner.... (Bad Conduct Discharge in civilian-speak)

...and I was company honorman. Thanks to my service in my community as an Eagle Scout, I ranked twice before getting into the fleet and then working for the White House in a special operations unit.

As a Marine, we all work for the White House in some fashion, as the Commander in Chief sends us first. What did you do there?

Good, you were trained in San Diego. That’s where I was many years ago. The crucible was tough, no doubt. Though I’ve probably had more combat experience than you and I’m much younger, you still have my utmost respect (regardless of your supernatural beliefs and attitude), that is, if you actually accomplished something in the Marines and weren’t some **** bag. For what it’s worth, I went into the USMC at the worst time - missed Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. It was the coldest season and the mountains were brutal (as well as our DI’s). We graduated as company honor platoon and I was company honorman. Thanks to my service in my community as an Eagle Scout, I ranked twice before getting into the fleet and then working for the White House in a special operations unit.

I've pretty much found that those who have actually been there and done that don't feel the need to run their mouths about it much less to prove what a badass they are.

    Weighed. Measured. Found lacking.

Do you consider picking up pieces of my best friend and stopping a threat to save many lives, badass? I don’t want to get political; I don’t want your sympathy; and I don’t want your thanks. I’m just a guy serving his country like many people before me, so you can sleep at night and read your children a bed time story in the comfort of your own home, arguing over nebulous things (i.e., electronics), while I’m in gutter serving my country. You may call it whatever you like, but it is not badass.

    Thanks for making my point.

Sorry, I don’t feel comfortable sharing that information with people I don’t know, let alone on a public forum. Best of luck to the OP.

Because you are a liar! There is no such thing as a SpecOPS team working from the White House. Stolen Valor is as low as it goes.

It’s appalling how big of an idiot you’re making yourself out to be.
I suggest looking in a mirror.

I know enough about the flight characteristics and weapons systems of the Hornet to have all but an actual pilot believe I was the first Marine since WWII to become a combat ace, but all I claim is that I fixed them while others above me got the privilege of breaking them so I would have work to do.

You, on the other hand, claim things that others would not, even if they had actually accomplished them, (everything above company honorman would likely be classified) and you make those claims while invoking the White House. The only thing a Marine would say that comes close such a thing would be to say "Marine Barracks, 8th & I"... There is no such thing as a SpecOPS team assigned exclusively to the White House, though many such teams perhaps operate at the discretion of the President. If there were teams, it would be so highly classified that you saying so here would place you at risk of going to Leavenworth. I do know there are certain Air Force/CIA assets that will only fly under orders from the President, but there is no way you could have been part of that.

You may have been an 0311 or motor pool Marine, but only a scumbag claims to have done more than what their MOS qualifications entitle them to.

    Back to Bozoville for you.

BTW, the WH gig.......so, last time I checked.....the Marines there are part of the MSG. However, WH duty was a little different in that the SS does most of the heavy lifting unlike the MSG folks at Embassies where they do physical security and infosec.

Special Operations folks are not attached to the WH MSG.....MARSOC is, last time I dealt with MARSOC anyway, at Lejeune. I dealt a little with them out of Arifjan at Kuwait as they had some guys hanging out with the CENTCOM there. There were a few Marines running around JSOC at Bragg when I retired but they were few and far between there. For the record, I was not attached to JSOC....but on the airlift side, when those guys needed a ride someplace....

But, what would I know....things have probably changed in the past few years.
