I had never seen this custom Rolls Royce coachwork until today :o

    Wow.

I saw it at The Champlain Valley Fair in Essex Junction, Vermont back in the 1970s when it was gold. I have a huge postcard of the "1970" photo seen below.

"It was eventually purchased by an American, Max Obie, when in near-derelict condition. He covered it with over six pounds of gold dust paint and used it as a traveling sideshow; any schmoe with a dollar could pay to marvel at its bastardized glory. And then it was lost to time."

    I'm a "schmoe". :'(

... and, back then, you had a dollar.

PS You're not just any schmoe, if that makes you feel better! :)

:D He was a good kid. Just didn't listen sometimes.

Reminds me of the "FAQ" sign at the local glassblowers' shop (Simon Pearce glassworks -- really, really beautiful, albeit pricey, stuff).
Q: Do any of your glassblowers ever get burned?
    A: Only once.

Omaha is an emotionally taxing place.

Fortunately it is a small horse.
    Imagine an emotional support Clydesdale.
