is it best to start at the bottom and work your way up or start at the top floor and use the stairs so you don't have to wait on the elevator?

I SO want to go. Sounds like a hoot but I'd need at least a week there to visit with family. I couldn't possibly go "Hey I know I haven't seen you in 20 years but I need to crash at your place Friday and Saturday because I'm going to a stereo convention..."

No one understands this whole thing in my immediate life. Family/friends/coworkers all think I’m nuts for going to a “tech convention” that’s 11 hours drive and spending 4 days there ( w travel)
I don’t really care, I’m so pumped to see and hear all this gear. Woot!!

God forbid you find a room or song that you like....or talk to people. It will happen!

Man, I had one year where I only had four hours and was happy to hit four particular rooms. Then another year I had a strategic pace to try to make it through all floors in a day.

So, just try to go as many days as you can and hit as many rooms as you can. Then, give yourself the last day to go back to the rooms you like and the ones that maybe you missed or rooms that captured a buzz during the show. Through it all, Stop and smell the roses and listed to some great music!

I'm really thinking Friday myself as Saturday will probably set a record for attendance as its supposed to be clear and 51 degrees. Not quite April Spring but we will take it as it got a little cold again recently. Then, if I decide to do a second day, I can come back on Sunday. I've never done two days.

Anyway, good luck with Friday... the amount of gear and music in one place just blows the mind!

Dave, me and Drew are compiling lists of must see rooms that we are going to try and hit Friday before the rush. I know I can whittle down the list some, but Drew and you will be adding to it. Let’s get together Thursday night and look at the flooplan and rooms per floor and see if we can have a solid route.
We will have backpacks with water and bars so we can stay moving. We’ll sit and eat at the end of the day. Would love to have you along as you like the similar sounds we do.

I only heard back from a couple of folks for dinner Friday or Saturday. How about this, cheaper 20ish a person medium 40ish or 60ish and above ? We have a ton of choices but booking fast. Or just do stuffed pizza for the folks that can’t get this stuff. Or Portillos? We have 2 Portillo close by the place.

Count me in for Friday and Saturday. I’d prefer not too long of a wait and somewhere we have room for our larger group but anything is fine. What time will you be there on Friday? I’ll probably be there around 3:00.

Outside of a handful of folks, I haven't heard back from too many. Giordano's for stuffed does not take reservations so if we want that, it will be like last year. 1st come 1st serve.

. Sam and Harry's inside the same building now only has 8 and 815 pm left. Webber Grill, Wildfire, Seasons 52, Maggiano's, Bahama Breeze, Moretti's, Fox and hound, Texas De Brazille ( all you can eat meat) Big Bowl, Chicago Prime Steakhouse, Chicago Prime Italian all still have openings.

For cost wise, Bahama Breeze and Fox & hound would be the cheaper of the bunch. Fox & Hound is a bar and grill place. Bahama is more Caribbean type food. Price goes up from that point. I am 100000000% open and have 0 preference.

Skip, Thursday, we should Probably do Giordano's for stuffed Pizza. Get our carbs ready for the weekend LOL
