Art Smuck @arthurs from Destination Audio will be at the show, room 556! Their horn speakers are spectacular and Art is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Their room is not to be missed.

I am looking up reservations for Friday and Saturday. Right now we have a wide open selection. Who is in for Friday dinner and who is in for Saturday dinner? As tony suggested, I am using 10 folks and 7 PM as a base and looking on Open Table.

At the Renaissance, Sam and Harry's. https://samandharrysschaumburg.com/menus/
Webber Grill Seasons 52 Maggiano's Chicago Italian Prime, Bahama Breeze, Wildfire, The Saddle Room, this does not include places that are not on open table like several of the pizza places around. Giordanos is the place we wound up at last year for stuffed Pizza. I did call Kumas Korner the burger place we tried to get in last year and they do not take reservations. There is also several bar and grill type places that are not listed on Open table as well like miller's ale house or local to the area like Pilot Pete http://www.pilot-petes.com/menu-main.php

I went there once. I will never eat there again and I don't think I can disagree with your statement anymore than I already do. Personally, I'd rather have Taco Hell.....er,.....uh,.....I mean Taco Bell. That's sayin' something right there.

My 8 year old daughter an I are interested in going. Do you think the place will be family friendly? She's very well behaved but not sure about the audiophies. It would be our first time going. I've read about last years. We'd go to the show Saturday and Sunday and hang around CHI flying back home Tuesday.

    Thoughts? Opinions?

I am easy to reorganize, Balding fat and loud... OK maybe not so easy. If you take a look at the old expona thread, I believe there is a pic of us. If you haven't been to this before, it is huge. Even with our group, we would get separated from the group and wound up texting each other.

While, I've only gone to AXPONA or any audio show from 2014 forward, this year seem like it may be the largest show yet.

Further research, I guess it will be:

Regarding KLH, from the Axpona exhibitor specials page: "After hours demonstration & discussions are available at the show. Please contact: Jeff Dano, VP Business Development - KLH Audio jeffdano@klhaudio.com"

@joecoulson Maybe Jeff would be willing to entertain some of our demo tracks after show hours.

I wouldn't mind asking some questions about their bookshelf model:

I have a list working. It will be very similar to yours. I really don’t wanna hear anyone say “these have really good bass” without hearing some specialized tracks. Ones that blew BBC’s subwoofers come to mind.

Play them some Yosi at considerable levels and see if they say the same thing....

If you can literally hear the flubber flapping like a fat chick on a 75mph roller coaster? The bass ain't that good.

Tom You may not listen to the same stuff as me, but we are definitely on the same page from our conversations
