    OK, here's a serving suggestion.
The policeman in the center is looking down into the hole, saying:
I warned him not to get the bean burrito.

You know who to call? NO, do you? Anybody know who to call about this hole? Yea, I think I do. Yea, me too, I might know who is over the pot-hole dept. . I'm going to have to call my wife, it's going to be a long night. Let me take a picture of this. Damn this is deep!

I forgot the guy on the left's thought...I'm outa here!

That about covers most of their thoughts.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

So one assumes he blasts off before he comes down and makes the hole in the road?

Yeah, but I would imagine by now the cones would need some re-centering.

Ha...on the surface it looks like a bunch of dudes standing around a hole, which it is. However, all those dudes are from different departments trying to figure out how to tackle the problem.

If you notice, none of them are standing near the edge. Reason being it's a deep hole, and the pavement is undermined. Given the other cracks in the pavement, looks like a risk of even more collapsing. Given also it's location at an intersection, some other utilities are involved. My guess is a broken watermain that has been leaking for some time and suddenly burst or a very old and broken storm sewer pipe that kept taking the dirt under the pavement every time it rained.

Only other explanation is that Russ took a leak in that spot, and those guys are trying to figure out what the Chinese are saying. :)
