Dave, do you have some old cassettes of Billy Idol or Alan Parsons still laying around?

I have lots of good memories making tapes for the car, mix tapes for my Ex and sister in law's Walkmans. It was a thing back in the 80s. It was an evening or two spent picking songs, a few adult beverages, and engaging with the music.
If I had a daily driver that only had a lowly Cassette player, I'd have no problem digging out my Nak, replacing the belts, and making tapes again. The old tech with Dolby B or C NR is more than adequate for the noise floor in a typical automobile.

It's a Pioneer CT-F2121 -- an early 'quasi-front load' deck of impeccable aesthetics (IMO, at any rate).

I have a similar Yamaha model (imagine that?!) -- TC511S.

Agree Dave! So I'm playing a tape that I made many years ago. Alan Parsons Project, recorded from LP's that I no longer have. I can't believe I actually typed the label!
