I didn't take it that way, I was just trying to point out that for those like me who don't have a lot of coin, there is a way to get top sound.

I know there are a lot of features to be had and some require a lot of them but be prepared to pay, but for those that need basics and want high-end sound, the $2200 kinki fits the bill.

It looks nice, has quality parts, very reasonable price, gets good reviews and doesn't have a lot of useless features.....made for pure audio. I like that.

Not sure if I care for the faceplate either, but it probably doesn’t show fingerprints.

The remote control should negate the need for touching the controls. I avoid going near my gear...that's how cosmetic accidents happen.

How do you clean? Or better yet how often?

    Feather dusting as needed.

Any update @marvda1 on your experiences with this amplifier?
    Anyone else here using one?

I may post a separate thread... always interested in longer-term assessment of new(er) products!

    Thanks.

I don't have the +, and think at $2900 it tends not to be the bargain it was at $2000.

Seeing a photo of that amplifier with a person emphasizes the grotesqueness of its aesthetics (from my perspective) :(

Mark that's not a nice thing to say about Sean.

I really liked the look of this when I saw it in person at Marvin's place. The machining looks great in person.

You are a master at cardboard - don't let brightness dissuade you.

Besides, its dimmable on the + model.

There is nothing to hold the cardboard in place.

That's what duct tape is for. Duct tape's available in silver, black and gunmetal finishes, too.
