    The start of a work day... I'll try to get a better picture next time!

    You got it backwards, the other pic with a stiff drink and a cigar is the way to start your day. ;)

    That's too funny tonyb, I think I had the drink before I took that picture.... That's why it came out bad!

    In Northern New England, Columbus Day weekend is the peak of the leaf-peeper season. It's not most locals' favorite time of year (except for the influx of tourist dollars)... but the weather, and the leaves, rarely fail to please.

    Here's what it's like at my house this weekend -- subtitle: fun with a circular polarizer :- )

    Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. Big tree found on this morning's ride

    With 'steps' too...did you climb up?

    Is there a tree house up there or is maybe a hunter's platform/blind?

    Nothing up there, so I did not climb. I was just impressed at how big around it was, with no other trees around it near that.

    @tonyb,

    Amen!

    There are few pleasures greater than sipping a glass of wine on the patio of Ventana as the sun sets over the Pacific on a clear evening.
