You got that right! That's why I took offence to that POS saying I smoke crack and then affirms that he knows it as a fact for the whole world to see.

So don't read them! As you said it is that easy.

Don't fall in with the trolls Lou. This club is wonderful and has people who will go way, way out of their way to help others even ingrate newbies who take offence to a little ribbing. Plus it is chock full of great and insightful information.

The sad part is that it USED to be good. I've been a long time lurker and have seen a steady decline of true support and comraderie. It seems more times than not that if a poster talks about a certain brand or maybe doesn't use a search function (or does and it doesn't directly answer their question), or they may ask a "silly" question that may be obvious to someone who has been doing it for years, they get slammed and ridiculed.

There are some people here that make the guys over at AVSForums look like angels. That is pretty sad.

Maybe heiney has the right idea. Maybe my time is up here. I love the classic Polk sound or yesteryear, it's just really sad that it has come down to this.

I think I've already addressed this by saying, 'I know pot calling the kettle black  ' in my response. But thanks for the suggestion.

I really just insinuated that this post has become very off topic when it reverts to name calling and instead of stooping to that level, moving on to another thread may be more beneficial.

I came in here and posted what I thought about Emo's as I do still currently own them and have owned them. I get annoyed however when others who have to defend everything Emo come in and start the same crap. In my opinion if you don't like it, then don't post or read in the thread. We are all well enough aware of whats going on ect to make our own choices regarding the thread.
Also I am fairly newer and really don't have any of the problems you have stated later such as the yelling at newbies for stuff ect. I feel its all in the eye of the beholder.
Also every other forum I've been on just goes on and on and on about how great Emo amps are, such as see on blu-ray.com the thread about emos, ect. Its like honestly this is the only one I feel I could give my true belief about the amp and not get jumped on by 500 people saying how can you say that blah blah blah.

I don't think you are looking at the big picture Lou. We've just got an influx of new guys who are asking the same questions about SDAs and are being supported 100% even though the answers are already here to be found by searching. There are several newbies who are being helped, old threads being posted for them, PMs going back and forth to elaborate on the topics etc. These new guys have come in without a chip on their shoulder without the entitled attitude plus they take some ribbing (which you know is part of the SOP here) without flying off the handle and starting a range war by going into old threads and making troll like comments. Superjunior is perfect example of how people are forgiving around here. He started off like gangbusters making cocky statements and the such but then he settled down and through all that was still given all the help he needed and then he settled in and GOT IT and has become well liked and a productive member of the club.

You should know by now, being a member longer than me, that around the holidays the flood gates open and we get an inordinate amount of new guys. Most are respectful and grateful for the help they get and stick around and be productive members, others get offended easily or have a chip on their shoulder and get flamed and then go on troll rampages. It's the natural order here.

You are right however that the Emo threads are less tolerated because the Emoette have the forum collective, even some of the guys who own Emos, suspicious of their intentions because of the furor caused by the Emoetts over the past year or so. That is truley unfornate but a fact of life here.

Only a couple of those trolls have hung around and continue to cause strife here.

I don't think your time here is up and you should stick around. However please beaware of the reasons behind the Emo allergies here.:)

I always thought it was: Did the better part of you run down your mother's leg?

    That one goes as follows:
"It looks like the best part of you ran down the crack of your mothers **** and ended up as a brown stain on the mattress, I think you have been cheated"
Gunnery Sargent Hartman in Full Metal Jacket, a great line of many from that movie.

I appreciate the time you took to respond. This was civil, productive, and mature response.

I understand everything you posted and thank you. I can see the points of why people get intolerant, but I think by ignoring them is the best bet. If they get too unruly, get a mod involved. Again, this is the same process I teach my 6 and 8 year olds. Ignore the annoying kids, bullies, and trouble-makers. If they don't leave you alone or go away, then get a teacher or other adult involved to help intervene.

Thanks again and have a great day!

Lou, it's hard to ignore a personal attack such as crack smoking. Most of the time, not all, but most, I try to keep a civil attitude and either ignore or respond in a respectful way but when you get a known troll making accusations on a public internet board, that's where I draw the line.:)

Why? You've been here for 10 posts and have no idea what this thread is about.

Why?? Because instead of discussion about Emotiva I keep seeing you piss and moan about nothing...You said some ribbing is SOP on this board. So somebody jokingly told you to "lay off the pipe"....Please shut up about it already will you??

wow, your not going to make friends with an attitude like that but whatever. If you want to read Emo post go over to the Emo site, or blu-ray.com ect, rather than posting in here telling us you don't like it, there are many that praise them, I think you would better like those.

I was joking with you but apparently you just don't get it. BTW that was no joke, it was his passive aggressive way . . . see you still don't get. If you were around long enough you would see that his MO is insulting people is in a passive aggressive way.

Nice! way to speak to a guy who has been trying to help you out.

Well you know the old saying, " no good deed goes unpunished!"

Stick around, you will find this a great place with wonderful people other than the trolls that you seem to be endearing yourself with.

Anyone have Cliff's notes on this thread lately?
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

but I thought this was TOO funny! I had this in another thread and removed it. This is not intended to inflame the passions of this discussion.:D

But that was not originally for the Emotiva fans. That was originally for the Emo music genre, also known as emotional rock. The eyeglasses logo is in conjuction with the fashion statement where they wear dark horn-rimmed glasses.

Just a little music history for you tonight. :p
