    In case you haven't noticed yet. It's the 21st century and the ECONOMY is GLOBAL. There aren't any independent national economies of scope LEFT! And since everything is interconnected...economies (plural) rise and fall together. Nationalisms of any kind are fairly impotent these days in such a global market. Your criticisms are therefore misplaced and uninformed and categorizing United States as a Unitary political entity is also superficial. Did you follow the last election by any chance!!

    The above and the trash stated before and since this post makes me wonder if things aren't somehow coming apart for the individual. Like, maybe, the job came undone or the wife w/kids left him.
