I have a funny feeling that if we started a thread where people would tell what they really liked about their SO, we'd get a half page of one sentence replies... :p:eek:

I've now convinced my wife I can't hear well. Years of rock music will do that you know. ;) This works much better than her thinking that I'm simply ignoring her.

What used to make her furious was she would be talking...then after 10 minutes or so she would tell me that I was not listening to her. Of course I would reply that I was indeed listening. To which she would reply..."What did I just say?". When I could repeat verbatim what she’s said...she would be pissed.

    Like I said...you just can't win.

I'm divorced too. I tell you there is a big difference between the sweet young girls we married and the demanding self centered middle aged nut jobs they turn into. I'm sure all women aren't this way but I think a majority are from similar stories.

    OP, you have my sympathies!

Just gotta learn to live on the hormone rollercoaster bros! :p I can deal with it most times when the coaster is running. But once a month when that sumbitch goes down for "maintenance".....I spend more time out in the woodshop. :p I affectionately call this time period the hemmoraging monkey.

I refuse to be reduced to the whining level of your guys in here. Hearingimpared tried to get me to bite, but I won't.

I'm sorry you guys have such **** relationships, but I'm happy with my fiancee and don't know what I'd do without her. For everyone else, I'm sorry you're so unhappy.

Noah, I wasn't trying to get you to bite, I was just ribbing you cause you just got engaged!

I don't have an unhappy relationship. There are just some things I still don't get after all these years and was seeing what others guys do in these situations. I love my wife and am very happy with her and wouldn't like to live without her and would be in a world of **** without her.

Sorry my PM came off the wrong way Bro.

My wife works on the "easier to catch bees with honey" premise. She pretty much lets me do whatever, but I can sense when I have pushed the envelope a bit. She grew up around all brothers, and a no-nonsense Dad, so she understands men very well. She gets this look of disappointment, and she doesn't have to say anything---her 2 sons know this look very well. She can genuinely make you feel terrible, without a single word...because she does so much for everyone.

    I'm very, very lucky.

I am in the very same boat, I am blessed to have my wife.

Now, for the first one I married. I am truly blessed to be rid of her.:D

Five rules for men to follow for a happy life

    1. It's important to have a woman, who helps at home, who cooks from
time to time, cleans up and has a job.

    2. It's important to have a woman, who can make you laugh.

    3. It's important to have a woman, who you can trust and who doesn't lie

So, I apologize if I misunderstood hearingimpaired. I've just been reading a lot of bitching and I get tired of it. Respect your woman, guys.... I understand they're not all as they seem, but I've got plenty of time to make absolutely sure that she's the right one.

We're essentially just committing to each other for the future.. I have no doubts.

    It's good to be ****........lol......

In what universe do you live in that you think it would EVER be appropriate to say something like "you might be menopausal" and expect not to get some blunt object upside your head?

Everything starts in the small details.....you need to work from that angle rather than try to (as she said) fix HER.........date nights, etc......whatever............but i wouldn't ever try to diagnose her with something clinical and think that you aren't gonna be payin for a while.....
