Yeah I broke down and bought one a couple days ago. I got the 32 GB wifi version and am looking forward to seeing how my 9 hour flight goes on Saturday.

Lovin' mine...except it has that video lockup bug. I'll have to get it fixed soon. Other than that, it completely rocks.

That article is hogwash, a bunch of excuses. Flash runs fine on the google phone, no reason outside of business greed that it can't run on the iPhone.

I really hate Apple, and yes I'm posting this from my iPhone.

I picked up a ipad a few times at the store. I really do like them an if I had a nice coffe table I would have one. Also if the price was lower.

I can't wait until some of the alternatives hit the market, as something along these lines really interests me.

There are two things missing from the ipad right now, and should they get corrected (via jailbreak or official apple support) I'd most like pick one up:

1 - Flash support. I'm hearing that this may be coming via a jailbreak app
2 - Juniper networks support, so that I can remote into work, I hear this may be coming via an official app.

If those two requirements are satisfied I'll be picking one up, unless of course by them a better alternative has already hit the market.

I love my tablet pc, and with the ssd drive the bootup time is incredibly fast at 15 seconds, but it's thicker and it doesn't have multiple touch

Same here. I've had an iPhone for 3 years the phone is very cool and I love it but man apple can piss me off. My contract is up in January and am seriously considering getting something different just don't know what. Seems like other companies have caught up and in some cases may be better.

My sister got an iPad for what it is, it is very cool. I like to call it the coffee table computer, it seems to be good just for entertainment which it is great for.

My brother has had the iPad for a bit. While I don't like Apple, it is pretty cool, so I'm considering getting an Android based pad. Maybe the Moonse e7001, but I'm still in the hunt.

Android 1.5 (older), 7" screen, and resistive single point touchscreen are all negatives on that machine

Any good alternatives then, or is the iPad still in its own league now?

I like that the Moonse e7001 (iRobot) is so cheap because one of the only reasons I would be buying one is for a touchscreen remote for my music PC/iTunes. I know it's not as cool as the iPad, but the Google version will be more expensive, and it will be used 90% just for the stereo system.

Sitting in a breakfast bar in Japan posting from the iPad. Cruising the forum, reading USA today on the iPad, and enjoying French toast. Enjoy the evening guys.
