Awful name. I'm still skeptical about the market's desire for this product, though I know Apple's marketing will get it in the door.

I'm waiting for a tablet to be photoshopped with an "Always" logo on it and called the iPad.

I haven't seen a price announced yet, and it also doesn't seem to be cellular (which I predicted). But again, not yet announced, details are still coming out now.

I'm sorry, looking at the pics online... the OS looks awful. Just the same old boring iPhone OS not even remotely changed. Just a grid of icons on the homescreen. Not exactly innovative.

Unless its really cheap, its totally uninteresting to me. So far it looks like big effing iphone that won't make calls. I don't know anyone that wants to read several full books on an LCD screen. e-ink is far superior.

They're showing of iWork, or whatever. Who in the hell wants to do all that type of work on a touch screen without a physical keyboard and mouse.

Wow, $499 unlocked. Pretty impressive price point at least, especially for Apple.

Oh my God. It's now officially a 15" iPhone. For $829.

Oh and I'm following the Kotaku link on my Blackberry and the lack of pictures is beneficial. I was just waiting for a price announcement anyway.

Well, this thread trended exactly as expected. Not one of you has used this device, but to many it's already an overpriced piece of ****.

    Amazing.

No, I saw all the quotes but so far it's essentially useless as anything more than an entertainment toy. To make it worth while even in the slightest you'd have to load it up completely. So $499 is alot for a glowing paper weight and $849 is alot for a gigantic iPhone.
